Trigger Warning: Shawols Tell Armys not to use #youdidwelltaehyung, ARMYs get agressive

Two days ago, BTS’s Taehyung apologizes after a performance, complaining how he felt it felt lacking, to which ARMYs replied with the trending hashtag #YouDidWellTaehyung

However, SHINee’s fans known as Shawols don’t agree with the tag, since it was used for SHINee’s Jonghyun when he committed ******* on December 2017. It is still in use today, like when the two-year anniversary occurred earlier this month.

Many ARMYs took this as a threat and started calling Shawols names, from manipulative to cry babies. They even went as far as to disrecpted Jonghyun and to say that Shawols should kill themselves, which upset Shawols.

Many Shawols responded by saying that bts wouldn’t approve their actions and that they just didn’t want some Shawols to get triggered, due to the connotations of the phrase#YouDidWell

I shouldn't have ignored the trigger warning
Why can't they just change the hashtag? I know they don't have to, cause it's not like Shawols own the hashtag but it would just be the nice thing to do... As an Army whose ultimate bias is Taehyung, Jonghyun is still the first that came to my mind when I saw the hashtag. It's really not something to have fanwars over, is it that hard to have some decency and not drag something so serious into your childish fanwars?

It’s nice to see that Army are trying to support their idol, however what’s not nice is how after another fandom asked them to change it due to the connotations that they started arguing about it. There are so many # they could’ve used to show love and support to him they don’t need to use one used to support an idol who is no longer with us

I wasn't around Kpop during the time that hashtag was originally used so maybe my opinion doesn't matter but I didn't see much wrong with it until Armies became aggressive about it. It looks like shawols asked nicely for them to use #WePurpleYou or something along those lines that's uniquely Army but they started bringing up things they really shouldn't have. I also don't see how it's manipulative tbh, but maybe there were other people being rude about it on the shawol side and people being nice about it on the Army side, it's hard to say with only a few tweets.

Ok in my opinion the Shawols were being polite about it they didn't start anything they just were asking nicely but the armys had to take it offensively just to start drama isth these toxic armys love to start stuff with other fandoms like damn just respect the shawols and pick a different hashtag no need to start fan wars

I agree, they respectfully asked for armys to use one of the million other hashtags they could use to do the same thing, but the toxic armys went full defense mode. Like really, their faves would never approve.

This hurts my heart
I understand if you are an Army and you have not clue what the significance the hashtag has for SHINee, but if someone tells you this the logical thing is to apologize and edit the tweet. There is no need to wish death upon anybody, especially in case where the topic is incredibly sensitive. This is just a whole new level of cruel.
I personally am not a Shawol, but my heart goes out to all of them and to SHINee.

Sure, Shawols don't own the hashtag nor anything, but I'm sure that if the situation went the other way, Armys would have lost their minds. Say that tomorrow shawols start saying "we aqua you", they would go batshit crazy. And even if it did annoy them when shawols asked them to change it (and shawols aren't aggressive so it's DOUBTFUL that they started being disrespectful first), why would they have to bring Jjong up and talk about what he did? It's a complete lack of empathy and I really can't understand how they can be like that sometimes. Of course those users don't represent the whole fandom, but when your fandom is f*cking huge, the minority ends up being big as well :(
