The Boyz Crowned Winners of Road To Kingdom!

Today the final episode of Road To Kingdom was aired, with Pentagon, ONF, The Boyz, Verivery, and Oneus competing for the title.
Before the performed the last time an initial ranking was revealed, which included everything except live votings, which would take place during the performances.
1. The Boyz
2. ONF
3. Pentagon
4. Oneus
5. Verivery

Here are the original songs performed by each group:

Oneus-"Come Back Home"

Verivery-"Beautiful-x"

The Boyz-"Checkmate"

Pentagon-"Basquiat"

ONF-"New World"

The final ranking was based off of:
A combination of votes during the final live broadcast, cumulative scores from competition rounds one to three, cumulative views of video clips on Mnet’s official YouTube and Naver TV accounts, and the digital score (according to Hanteo Chart) for each group’s “comeback” song that was released on June 12. Votes from international fans through the Whosfan app accounted for 30 percent of the live broadcast score, and domestic text votes accounted for the remaining 70 percent.

The Boyz and ONF became the top two groups, after live voting ended.
However, The Boyz came out on top, and were crowned winners of Road To Kingdom!

Mnet has released that they will be airing I guess what could be called a second season of Road To Kingdom, but it will just be called Kingdom.
In this season The Boyz would go up against another set of groups.

Did you expect them to come out on top, I was sort of anticipating they would win, after their prior rankings.

I'm so disappoined. They really only won because they were the most popular. Like this was not The Boyz best preformances, and they didn't really deserve that win

I knew from the beginning either PTG or TBZ would win, but PTG had their scandal right before this ep, so that just left TBZ

You really can't say that though. I'm saying that TBZ has done so much better with their preformances in comebacks and stuff. I think Hwall leaving impacted them, but they weren't at their peak. Which means they obviously didn't deserve to win because it wasn't better then any of the other groups

But that's subjective and your opinion and I respect that.
I personally liked The Boyz's performance more then some of the other groups, and they did a really great job.
Also the final ranking was calculated from not just the final episode performance, but from all of them.
To say someone is undeserving of something they worked so hard for kind of hurts my heart.

That's not what I'm saying at all.
They all worked incredibly hard on this show and with everything else they do as groups, I just don't want to disregard the hard work of the group that did win, because others wanted another group to.

I obviously didn't say that they didn't work hard, I'm saying that they were obviously gonna win either way because they were the most popular.

kinda sad that there will be no two winners in this round and tbz was expected but its alright !! congrats tbz !!

eeeee proud and happy~
of course i have to go for the hottest take tho - with all survival shows of this nature where contestants are backed by companies, you have to assume the results are rigged to some extent, that feels super obvious with tbz in retrospect even with how suspicious i was the whole time
but to me as a deobi thats just exciting; means mnet thinks they're profitable and is willing to boost their image in exchange for hosting their content or whatever else
no point in getting genuinely upset over these things, they're dressed up elaborations of deals between corporate figures
tbz were totally at their best though, even if i think it has little to nothing to do with their win. usually their mgmt is suuuuper stingy and hamfisted but they went all out this time and made good investments, good decisions, i was soo pleasantly surprised, like compare any aspect of rtk to their promotions for ... ddd for example ... the shift in just overall budgeting is phenomenal
