People who say that don't know what racist means. By definition, racisim is "prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior."

Cultural appropriation isn't racist. But even if it was, you guys throw that word around too much.
Idols that get this criticism are just under educated, and not racist. But also, its not really their job to know everything about Western culture. Everyone can make mistakes

Feel free to try and change my mind in the comments though

And I oop. But you're right. Especially when it comes to male idols having box braids or anything like that. People are quick to label the idol as racist but I'm sure it wasn't their(the idol)decision, but rather the stylist(s) who don't understand western standards. Idk if that made sense but uh yeah.

I agree with you. There was this music video:
Mamma Mia by SF9
Dawon from the band had gotten dreads and everyone criticized him for it saying it was racist. but i think he just admired the hairstyle.

I think they do this mostly to attract attention, to make themselves more popular, I don't see any other more logical explanation, besides I really hate those who are like this (racist). I think we should 'filter' out people, so that we don't continue to have this problem.

I agree. Also idols may not know the specific action they are taking so we should filter out who say things are racist.Culture appropiation and being racist are two totally different things.

It would be nice to create a rules post about this.

Besides I have been thinking about this problem for a long time, even when I write for college I try to use see this because it talks about discrimination, this really is a serious problem of the population, I think we should fight with it and in this way we will manage to minimize it.
Then I think we should let someone know?
how could we do this?

It's always funny to me how cultural appropriation rarely ever comes up in real life. It's only ever online that I see people fighting about it.
