Starship Apologizes For Controversial Photo Teasers of I.M's Solo Debut + Deletes Them

Starship Entertainment has apologized for I.M's solo photo teasers (he was wearing a shirt with a sacred phrase to Muslims which was considered disrespectful) and subsequently deleted all images in question after overwhelming backlash from the Muslim community. I.M was wearing a shirt with the inscription "Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim" in Arabic "بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم." It is a sacred phrase for Muslims that translates to “In the name of Allah, The Most Gracious and The Most Merciful.“

"This is Starship Entertainment.
Regarding the concept photos that were released for I.M's Digital Mini Album 'Duality', Starship Entertainment took down all photos of the clothes that included the religious prints. We should have taken further measures to ensure there were no religious implications in the concept photos in advance and we regret not being able to scrutinize it fully. We deeply apologize to those who felt uncomfortable with our actions.

We ensure you that we will make every effort to prevent a recurrence. Again, we pay and extend our sincere apologies."

I am glad people actually speak up to ensure nothing like this going to be repeated.. and how quickly Starship took action.

This is why Starship is one of my favorite companies. I dearly hope that people will not give hate towards Kyunnie, as he could never have known, it was the stylists' fault. Thanks to Starship for taking this so seriously.

back around 2014, a company called Pandagram entertainment debuted a girl group called Pritz. Around the time of their debut, they wore N*zi like uniforms with the red armbands and although it was very obvious that the uniforms were being imitated, the company didn't even properly apologize.
