I think of soft stan as someone who admires their favorites and likes to listen to them from time to time and hard stan as someone who supports them 24/7 by buying their merch, voting for them in award shows, attending their concerts, streams their videos etc
With that logic, I'm a soft stan. I don't dedicate my life to being a fangirl but for sure I appreciate them since they're taking care of my entertainment
