WHATS MY DREAM: MAIZY

Maizy: Hi! This is Jang Yul, or Maizy. It’s nice to finally meet you *finger heart*

Question 1: Who is Maizy?
Maizy: So far people only know Maizy as Yul. Maizy is the idol that Yulie grew up to be. I think Maizy is a bit similar to me. We’re both extroverted but we’re also the least extroverted of the extroverts. She’s quite playful I think but her character hasn’t been introduced a lot so far. I think people will understand her more in the future

The name Jang Yul… Okay so Yul has a similarity with my real name but I don’t want to share it. The surname is a more interesting story I think. The group that made me want to debut, they have two members and I liked them both. One surname was Jung and the other was Hwang. So I was trying to decide which I wanted to use. I thought, why not combine them and have the surname Jang? So yes, now I’m Jang Yul. As for Maizy, the members gave it to me when we were choosing American names for ourselves. Apparently I look like a Maizy to them

Question 2: What about the idol behind Maizy?
Maizy: According to Nanami, people are going to fall in love with me because I’m kind. I do try to be kind, I think it’s important because you never know what someone has been through. Um… I also like coffee? It gives me energy and it tastes good… *chuckles*

Question 3: How long have you been training?
Maizy: I started training in 2020 but it was so scary because with the world situation back then I started my training at home. The company was cutting so many trainees around me and I genuinely thought I wouldn’t be kept. But when they were able to they moved me to Seoul. I was shocked when those plans were made. But it made me grateful because now I’m here

Question 4: What are your specialities?
Maizy: Hmm… my main speciality is vocal but that’s Nanami’s speciality too… I need something special to me! Perhaps elegance? I think I’m very elegant. In the street people look at me sometimes, and I think it’s because I’m elegant. I hope so… *laughs*

Question 5: Why did you want to become an idol?
Maizy: I love music in general. I grew up playing the violin so it’s always been there. But it wasn’t my original dream. However during… that time… I decided to post a singing cover to social media, which the company found and they scouted me. It was a bit of an internal debate but I decided to go ahead with it. I’m thankful I gave it a chance

Question 6: Who are your role models if you have any?
Maizy: Ah right… So the idols I mentioned earlier were SinB and Eunha from GFRIEND. I really like GFRIEND, the song cover I did was of Rough *chuckles* I also like RO5EY and Enchantress quite a bit. I actually went to the Enchantress concert this year with Moonseo and Yuxi-Unnie. But… ah never mind I’ll let her tell you about it *winks*. But yes, GFRIEND for me, VIVIZ too now

Question 7: When you’re not working, what do you like to do with your time?
Maizy: Hmm… I like to read, scrapbook, play with my cats back home. I miss my cats so much. My cats are called Salgu, Podo and Ddalgi… they are so precious. When I go back home I will show you them. But yeah, I like quiet and peaceful activities, nothing too intense

GIRL GROUP REVEILY PERFORM LIVE FOR FIRST TIME AT LUXORIA FESTIVAL
Fans of both former girl group Lovisa and new girl group Reveily were surprised during the final day of the Luxioria Annual Festival: Majestic when Yubi, a member from both groups, suddenly invited the Reveily members on stage at the end of the festival.

Liu Yubi, now going under the name Zhang Yuxi, expressed her thanks to her old company and the idols whom she trained alongside in a heartwarming speech, before revealing that Reveily would be performing a cover of her former group’s song LALALILALA, as a thank you present to everyone and a parting gift.

The cover has received overwhelmingly positive responses, this being the first time the Reveily members have performed for the general public as a group

“Nanami wasn’t lying when she said she was a powerful vocalist”
“They haven’t even debuted yet and they’re already so good at controlling the stage”
“The Lovisa members must be so proud of Yubi’s new group…”
“Yubi’s rap oh my god-“

There was slight backlash though due to concerns over one member’s lines:
“I swear Eunseo’s only lines for the entire song were ‘Lalalilala’ what is the company doing??”
“This is literally the first time Eunseo gets to show off her abilities and they reduce her to singing one word?”

Regardless, many fans of the Luxoria groups enjoyed the festival with the surprise stage being the cherry on top of an incredible week

WHATS MY DREAM: MOONSEO

Moonseo: *Staring into the camera* … Is it on? Oh! I’m sorry *laughs*. Hi, I’m Moonseo. It’s nice to meet you *hides face in hands*

Question 1: Who is Moon Eunseo?
Moonseo: Moon Eunseo is the main character of The Dream Team… it’s awkward to say that because in Reveily we’re all equal, but because we tell the story like a diary we needed it to be from someone’s perspective and I was chosen. She’s quite shy and she has a low self esteem, but she’s also very ambitious and hard working despite her not thinking she deserves to be where she is.

The stage name Moonseo comes from combining her surname and last syllable of her name, Moon and Seo. But the Eun gets left out which is ironic because that’s the only part that’s also in my real name…. Oh… was i supposed to say that? Whoops…

Question 2: What about the idol behind Moonseo?
Moonseo: I… I’m a bit like Eunseo. I’m shy and very introverted. I like being around people more than engaging with them. But my Unnies also say I’m really cute. Oh yeah, I’m also the maknae of the group. I was born in 2005, meaning I’m not an adult yet, but I will be soon! I’m tired of being the only child in the group *pouts*

Question 3: How long have you been training?
Moonseo: As an idol? Uh… I started in October 2022. That’s why Eunseo has a 6 month training period, because it had been 6 months since I began preparing to be an idol before I joined Reveily’s team. I have the least trainee time so I'm not very confident in my skills yet but I hope to improve alongside the group

Question 4: What are your specialities?
Moonseo: Cuteness *cringes*. Not all maknaes out there are cute and not all cute members of a group are maknaes right? But I’ve been stuck as the cute maknae. You have to learn to embrace it sometimes, and use it to your advantage. It means I fit our concepts well

Question 5: Why did you want to become an idol?
Moonseo: I have to be honest, right? Mmm… I didn’t want to become an idol. *Fakes a gasp* Why am I here then? I actually wanted to be an actress, I was training to be an actress. One day the company told me they had a great acting role for me and I was so happy, and then they crushed my dreams saying to get it I had to become an idol *laughs*. I thought about it for a while and I nearly said no, but then I thought about my favourite group and I thought maybe I wanted what they had, so I agreed. Now I’m here. My skills aren’t quite there yet but I think this was a fun idea *smiles*

Question 6: Who are your role models if you have any?
Moonseo: *Gasps* Ah no! I can't answer this! Because now with my last answer if they find out they might think I’m weird *pouts*. *Sulking* Sunbaenims I promise I’m a normal fan… My favourite group is Enchantress… I wouldn’t be an idol if it weren’t for them, and I got to see them in concert this year which made me very happy... yeah. Please can we move on now… *hides behind her hair*

Question 7: When you’re not working, what do you like to do with your time?
Moonseo: My hobbies are quite boring. I watch Netflix, I read, I doodle, I go on walks. It’s just normal stuff. Not like Nanami with her fashion hobby *laughs*

Moonseo: I want to see someone online say something like “wow… Reveily are so cool. I like them”. That’s it. Everything else will be a bonus

WHATS MY DREAM: IYAH

Iyah: Hello! This is Reveily’s leader, Iyah. I’m the last video, I can’t believe this means all the members have been introduced, isn’t that crazy?

Question 1: Who is Iyah?
Iyah: Shin Huihyeon is the idol behind Iyah. She has the stage name Iyah now. During trainee times, I think Huihyeon is someone passionate and encouraging but she also holds herself back mentally a little. More will be learnt about her as time progresses I think but I think you can already see this side to her with the short introduction we have so far

The name… I think people already know my real name and they probably won’t understand why my new fake name is Shin Huihyeon. But I don’t really want to talk about the reasoning, sorry! But! I am happy to talk about my stage name. Iyah is just an exclamation. But I like it. You can say my name in any tone and it gets a new meaning. Excited, IYAH! Or disappointed Iyah… embarrassed iyah! Or angry IYAH! See, so many options. It’s fun

Question 2: What about the idol behind Iyah?
Iyah: Fun fact, Yuxi-Unnie and I have the same MBTI!
Director: Yuxi said the exact same thing
Iyah: Oh really? We’re in sync I guess *laughs*. I think I’m quite outgoing and loud, but not loud as in weird and jokey. People say I’m good at demanding attention and taking charge, so I guess that’s why I was ultimately chosen to lead the group

Question 3: How long have you been training?
Iyah: I began training a little shortly after Kahyun in 2019. So I’ve been training for a while now and I feel like I am ready for my debut

Question 4: What are your specialities?
Iyah: I think stage presence and leadership. I think my facial expressions are good and I’m also good at helping my members improve themselves

Question 5: Why did you want to become an idol?
Iyah: I’ve just always had a passion for entertainment. I’ve always known I wanted to do something for other people as much as for myself. To me, I feel like being an idol fits my dreams well. I’ve been doing dance training since I was young so I felt like all I needed to do was improve my vocals… It’s been harder than I anticipated but I think I made a good choice with this career

Question 6: Who are your role models if you have any?
Iyah: To me, there is no such thing as a number one role model. I think every single one of my seniors have traits I can learn from and bring into Reveily. I like just looking at everyone’s performances and interactions as a group. Then I analyse what’s happening so I can bring it into our practises. However… I will admit I am a fan of BLACKPINK *chuckles*

Question 7: When you’re not working, what do you like to do with your time?
Iyah: I quite like exploring Seoul and taking photos. I have a bit of a passion for photography and I want to make a photobook full of Reveily’s memories. But when I’m not doing that I like reading

Question 8: What is one major thing you want to experience by 2024?
Iyah: I have a few goals. I want to befriend some idols because I want to make connections with others so we aren’t alone in the industry. I also want Reveily to win an award. Perhaps that sounds a bit arrogant but I think it’s natural to want your group to succeed. But mostly, I just want to have a happy year with my members

Maizy: Hello I’m golden sunshine, Maizy

Yuxi: Hi I’m Reveily’s oldest, Yuxi
Moonseo: And I’m Reveily’s maknae, Moonseo
Nanami: And finally, I’m Reveily’s power vocalist, Nanami! Woo!
Iyah: Today we are here to do a special Q&A, however, this Q&A has a twist!
Yuxi: Instead of just doing a regular Q&A we are going to be playing a game. There will be a prompt about one of the members and it’s up to the other five to answer first. To answer, yell your name as loud as you can. There will be twelve questions total, two for each member. The one who gets the most is the winner! Who knows Reveily the best?
Kahyun: Iyah
Maizy: I think Nanami will win just because she’s loud
Nanami: *Sulking* I’ll behave I promise
Iyah: I think we all have a good shot
Moonseo: I don’t… I’m too quiet
Nanami: No I think Moonseo will be like a secret weapon

Iyah: Okay so what is everyone’s buzzer?
Maizy: Yulie!
Kahyun: Hyuna

Moonseo: Unnie your name is perfect for this game

Yuxi: Yuxi!

Nanami: Nami! (very loudly)

Voice: Okay first question, what is Yuxi’s favourite food
*All five yell at the same time, with Maizy just beating the rest*
Voice: Maizy got it
Maizy: Okay my guess is brownies
Yuxi: Correct!
Maizy: *Claps*
Yuxi: Everyone answered that very quickly, is it that obvious?
Moonseo: Unnie, I think you would sell all the members if it meant you could have like 100 brownies
Yuxi: That is not true! You’re worth more than 100 brownies…
Nanami: What about 1000 brownies?
Yuxi: Pfft more than that too

Nanami: Moonseo being a tiger is so funny because she’s not scary at all

Iyah: Nanami and Maizy have known each other the longest so of course Nanami was going to get it

Yuxi: I honestly though she wanted to be a teacher

Nanami: Maizy has three cats who she loves and that’s why she would want to be a vet

Nanami: I can go without the karaoke session!
Kahyun: But you don’t. And it bothers us when we’re trying to get to sleep because you go to sleep so much later than the rest of us!
Nanami: I’m suddenly being attacked and I don’t like it
Maizy: Sorry Nami but she speaks the truth
Nanami: Can I quit the game now?

Voice: If Iyah could go anywhere in the world, where would she go?
Kahyun: Hyuna!
Iyah: Go on…
Kahyun: Italy
Iyah: Correct
Moonseo: This game is hard when some group members know each other really well
Kahyun: You just need to pay more attention *smirks*
Iyah: I really want to take everyone to Italy. I love Italian food and it’s so pretty and hot there. I think we’d have a nice holiday there
Nanami: We could go roller skating in Italy

Moonseo: Yes!

Voice: Please explain who Wok is
Moonseo: Wok is my hamster. He’s just over 1 years old. My mum sends me videos of him regularly
Yuxi: She wanted Wok to live with us in the dorms but the company didn’t let her
Moonseo: Never forgiving the company for that *pouting*
Nanami: Wok is so cute I can’t blame him for being your most prized thing
Voice: How did he get the name Wok?
Moonseo: It’s just a funny word, it means nothing. It has the same vibe as Iyah

Voice: What is Yuxi most afraid of?
Nanami: Nami! Small spaces
Iyah: There we go no more chances to get points
Yuxi: Correct
Nanami: Yuxi has claustrophobia it’s really bad
Yuxi: Even just being at the company is hard. Some of the corridors are narrow and I hate using the elevators. When I first started training there, I only ever took the stairs, but the thing is our training room was on such a high floor in the company
Iyah: They’ve moved us down a few floors so Yuxi-Unnie has less of a way to travel since she still refuses to take the lifts
Voice: Does anyone else have a phobia?
Maizy: I’m scared of bees but it’s not a phobia like Yuxi-Unnie has…
Nanami: I’m allergic to peanuts but that’s not a fear. I mean… I fear for my life when I see a peanut but it’s not the same thing *laughs*

Voice: Okay the scores are in… in last is Moonseo and Yuxi, who each have only 1
Maizy: Our Unnie and maknae have failed us
Moonseo: I’m sorry…
Nanami: Your punishment is no sugar all week
Iyah: They don’t get a punishment…
Maizy: Why not? They need to step their games up!
Voice: In second we have… Maizy and Iyah with 2
Kahyun: I won?
Nanami: I won too!
Kahyun: No I’m just surprised I felt like I hardly answered any of them
Iyah: You’re better than you thought I guess
Voice: We’re going to do a tie breaker between Kahyun and Nanami. You’ll play rock paper scissors to see who will answer first. First to get it completely correct is the final winner
Nanami: You ready?
*They do rock paper scissors. Nanami throws rock and Kahyun throws scissors*
Nanami: Ah! I win!

Voice: Okay the final question is. Name the order everyone became an idol trainee
Iyah: Oh this is a little bit tough
Nanami: Is it trainee or specifically idol trainee
Voice: Specially idol
Nanami: Ok… Uh… wait this is hard. Kahyun?
Voice: Wrong
Kahyun: Yuxi first, then me?
Voice: Wrong

Maizy: Then get on and say it!

Moonseo: Kahyun-Unnie has been training for less time than I thought
Iyah: I don’t think the time between Nanami and Kahyun was very long

Nanami: End of 2019
