We all have those delicious recipes we love, like Chocolate Chip Cookies or Carne Asada. But we also look for other D E L E C T A B L E foods to make. Here we can share and *ahem* steal recipes to attempt to make them.

Here's my first one!

Alright, here's mine!
Today I'm going to be talking about gozinaki, a traditional snack usually made for New Year celebrations. Gozinaki consists of roasted nuts (usually walnuts) and honey, and although I'm not a huge fan of the taste of honey, this snack is one of my favorites (it looks something like this).

Whenever we make it, we usually cut the walnuts into small pieces, and then we roast them in a pan. Next, you heat up the honey until it starts to boil, and then you mix the walnuts into the honey. Once that's done, you spread the mixture out into a thin sheet and wait for it to cool. Lastly, you cut it into diamond-shaped pieces and then you can eat it!

In case that sounds confusing, here's a recipe I found on the internet that explains how to do it in a similar way (this one uses additional sugar and bake sheets; instead of using bake sheets, we just pour the mixture onto a large cutting board instead).
  1. Heat the oven to 350 °F.
  2. Roughly chop the nuts and place them on a bake sheet. If there is any residual powder left from the nuts, don’t place them on the bake sheet as they will burn.
  3. Grill in the oven for 5 to 7 minutes, until the nuts become fragrant. Remove from the oven.
  4. Rub oil on another bake sheet and set aside.
  5. Pour the honey and sugar into a large pan on medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the boiling honey darkens (about 5 minutes).
  6. Incorporate the grilled nuts using a wooden spatula. Mix without stopping to coat the nuts and to continue the caramelization for another 4 to 5 minutes.
  7. Once the caramel is dark, pour it on to the already oiled bake sheet. With the help of a spatula, create an even, one-inch-thick, rectangular wafer. Be careful: do not touch the caramel with your fingers as it is perilously hot.
  8. Let rest for ten minutes then, with a large knife, cut it into squares or diamonds.
I hope this was interesting to look through! Gozinaki is pretty simple to make and it's also healthy since the only ingredients are nuts and honey! If anyone ever decides to try making this, let me know juseyo 🙏

I just made these tonight, bie rocks or basically runzas

4 c

4 cups of cabbage, chopped into about 1/4 inch bites
1/2 cup of onions, diced
2 Tbsp oil
1 lb of hamburger

DOUGH INGREDIENTS
4 1/3 cup of purpose flour
1 pkg or 2 1/4 tsps of active dry yeast
1 cups of milk
1/3 cups of sugar
1/3 cup of butter, I used unsalted
1 tsp salt
2 eggs, I used large

What I did:
Skillet the hamburger, cabbage, and onion together until cooked (seasoned with salt and pepper). Usually the cabbage is cooked by the time the meat is, but you can leave it on slightly longer

For the dough, you can either waken the yeast before putting it in the flour but you don’t have to since the milk, sugar, salt, and butter will waken it (when you heat it in a pan until it reaches 120F)

Then add the eggs

Let the dough rise and follow the recipe.

While the dough rises for the second time, I put a cup of water below the rack I’d put the bierocks on so the oven air would be moistened
