Chapter 16: Chaos & Legacy
Jiwoo was sitting at her desk, slowly shuffling through papers when a knock sounded on the door. She threw the papers down, happy about the break from this boring work.

"Come in!" she called. The door opened and Penni stepped inside, followed by two older women. One of the women was a tall blonde with striking blue eyes who was wearing a plan white t-shirt and Nike's. Her sharp eyes surveyed the room, and when they landed on Jiwoo she got the feeling that this woman could tell everything about her with just one look.

The other woman was the complete opposite. She had long brown hair pulled up in a high ponytail and bright green eyes. She was laughing at something that had been said out in the hallway. Her smile was bright and welcoming. She was shorter than the blonde, about the same size as Penni. They were led to Jiwoo's desk.

"I got the new members. They were a lot easier to convince than I thought they would be. All it took was to give Lottery free reign of Ashvale and a few insults from Aurelia."

"…What?"

Penni laughed. "These are our new group managers! Marina and Alexia Wilkes," she gestured to the women behind her. Alexia smiled and waved while Marina stood there stone-faced.

"I think Alexia would be a good match for Fantasy. They're all high energy so they'll get along well."

"You make it sound like a bad thing," Alexia laughed.

"It's not, trust me. Fantasy will love you," Penni reassured her.

Jiwoo nodded. "Alright. So Marina will be over the new unit?"

"Yep. They're already used to her, uh…"

"Rigidness?" Alexia suggested. "Strict rules? Crazy teaching techniques?"

"Who's side are you one?" Marina grumbled.

"I'm just making observations!"

Penni leaned into Jiwoo and whispered: "They're married."

"Ah."

"The girls are here as well, but I figured you wouldn't want everyone in your office all at once. They're in the lobby. I told them not to destroy anything, but-"

"Chaos Children are bad at following directions," Marina sighed, casting a glance at Alexia.

"Why are you looking at me?" Marina huffed and crossed her arms.

Penni grabbed Jiwoo's arm. "Come on, you'll love them!" Then she dragged Jiwoo into the hallway before she could protest.

In the lobby, eight girls were bouncing around excitedly. On the couch sat a brown haired girl with green eyes who was reading a book. Sitting besides her was another brown haired girl that shared similar facial features with the girl reading the book. She was chatting to a blonde girl with green eyes perched on the arm of the couch. Standing beside the blonde girl was another with a pastel color theme: pink and blue hair, blue and yellow clothes. Three more girls were sitting in a circle on the rug and playing a game that required them to slap each other's hands while singing a song. The last girl was leaning on a wall in the corner of the room, her gaze miles away.

"These are the Dimension Jumpers," Penni informed Jiwoo as the entered the room. All at once, eight pairs of eyes shifted their gaze at her. "That's Jennie," she pointed to the girl who had been reading the book. "That's Wendy," the girl sitting besides her. "Lucy," the girl on the arm of the couch. "May," the pastel girl. "Aurelia, Annie, Yumi," she pointed out each girl on the ground. "And Lottery," she moved her hand to the girl in the corner, who was regarding Jiwoo coldly.

"We're their mothers," Alexia appeared at Jiwoo's side. "Well, specifically, the mothers of Annie, Jennie, Wendy and Lucy. The other four don't belong to us."

"I still think you guys should adopt us all!" Aurelia shouted from the ground.

"Four is enough," Marina said.

Alexia whispered to Aurelia, "Trust me, I would if she would let me."

Marina glared at her.

"I already have a concept and everything ready for them," Penni said, pulling out a notebook. "Here's my ideas: we split them into two units!"

"I want to be in Yumi's unit!" Aurelia yelled.

"Why are you yelling? We're inside!" Yumi huffed.

"Let me be in your unit!"

"Hush!"

"They'll get along with Destiny well," Jiwoo sighed. Penni laughed and nodded.

"They will. Anyways, the units! First unit will be called Chaos. It will be composed of Yumi, Aurelia, Lottery and May."

"Hooray!" Aurelia shouted, to which Yumi and Annie both responded by yelling at her to shut up.

"The second unit will be Legacy, consisting of Annie, Jennie, Wendy and Lucy. Their concept will be sisters."

"Boo, we do that everyday!" Wendy called. "Can't you give us something unique!"

"You're the best informed on being sisters though!" May argued. "The rest of us are either only children or only have brothers."

"I still say Cas should be an honorary member of the group," Wendy giggled, casting a glance at Jennie. Jennie blushed and Lucy smacked Wendy's arm. "What?" Wendy looked up at Lucy.

"Stop teasing her!"

Wendy responded by sticking her tongue out at Lucy.

"See? They're the best informed about the being sisters thing," Penni sighed.

Jiwoo nodded, then took the notebook from Penni. She scanned through it as the girls proceeded to ask Penni questions about the group.

"You said there are more members. Who are they?" Yumi asked.

"Eight other girls: Nilla, Hanni, Saki, Briella, Lindzy, Navy, Ayla and Kiri. You'll meet them all soon."

"Where will we be living?" Annie asked.

"We have dorms for you all. They're in an apartment complex a bit down the road."

"Can I room with Yumi?" Aurelia asked.

"Why are you so obsessed with me?" Yumi asked.

"Maybe we'll have units dorm with each other," Penni mused. "Since four fit in a dorm."

"Can Cas be an honorary member?" Wendy begged.

"No," Penni said. "Next question!"

Jiwoo looked up from the notebook and slapped it shut. "Alright, we'll get everything set up. Our first item of business are the FMC solo debuts, but once those are wrapped up we'll work on this new unit's debut!"

"How are those going, by the way?" Penni asked.

"We've finished filming Briella's and we've started filming Navy's."

"Which one are we releasing first?"

"…Navy's."

"So why did we record Briella's first?"

"Because it was the easiest!"

As they argued, Alexia and Marina turned their attention to their girls.

"I think this is an amazing opportunity for you all to learn Earth culture!" Alexia said.

Aurelia made a face. "I already know Earth culture, and it is capital B boring."

Lottery nodded from her place in the corner.

Alexia sighed. "Well, then you girls can just focus on the music aspect of this. As for the rest of you," she looked over at her daughters. "I want you to take this opportunity to learn all you can about this world."

"Why?" Lucy asked.

"Because I want you girls to have a chance at starting a life on this world," Alexia softly said. "The war in the Parallel World is getting worse and I'm not sure if we have a shot of winning it."

Alexia opened her mouth to reply, but Penni interrupted her. "We'll discuss this later! Right now, I'm going to give you the grand tour of RE:VENGE!"

"Hooray!" the girls cheered, then followed Penni out. Jiwoo watched them go, then turned around and walked into her office. She set the notebook on the desk and sat back down.

"There's two other worlds she has access two," a voice behind her made her jump with surprise. The voice chuckled, and Jiwoo huffed.

"You startled me! What are you doing here? What if she had caught you?"

The figure put its hand up in the air. "Relax. I wouldn't appear if I knew I had a chance of getting caught by her."

Jiwoo groaned and leaned back. "Alright, fine, whatever. Why are you here?"

"I've come for a status report."

"It sounds like you already know what you need to."

"I heard the conversation in the hallway," the voice admitted. "You need to convince her to get the girls from Elarion next."

Jiwoo nodded. "Alright, I will. But I have one question."

"Yes?"

"She's stopped writing because of this. She's not going to accomplish your goal if she's not writing. Your idea didn't work."

"Trust me, that girl won't stay away from it for that long. My plan will be fulfilled soon. In the meantime…" a paper fluttered onto the desk in front of Jiwoo. "I have a task for you."

Jiwoo felt the chill in the room subside, but she sat frozen as she looked down at the paper.
