basically, my teacher is under fire and this one kid is in a shitload of trouble

so i have this Language Arts teacher right
shes mid
shes one of those teachers you have that doesnt really stand out
like they don't do anything to be ur favorite
and nothing to be ur least favorite either
shes kinda just there.

and there's this one kid in my class
lets call him M
he's erm
interesting
and always getting yelled at by the teacher and stuff

well today he gets in trouble for not doing his homework or smth
and apparently, the punishment is a lunch detention so he has to go and have lunch with her and do his work or wtv

M then says
out loud
and not quietly either
to my hispanic teacher going: "I'm not gonna eat lunch with a boarder hopper- i don't even like tacos anyways
and she gets like super pissed

so my 30 year old teacher then says to him: "oh what do you want me to serve you? dogs?

i was just sitting there like

okay i get it
what the kid did was super racist and disrespectful to the teacher by saying that to her
and he should definitely be punished

but a fucking middle aged woman should not be throwing back insults to one of her own students
like that's totally unprofessional of her to do

so now M is in really big trouble and my LA teacher has a chance of getting fired for saying that to one of her students
