I don’t like setting my morning alarms as songs I like because… ahem don’t mind me about to revise the behaviourist approach of psychology.
Ya see right? Behaviourism suggests behaviour can be conditioned. Waking up in the morning is something that brings an unpleasant feeling. Interrupts your sleep So when a certain sound is associated with that feeling of waking up it just causes me stress when I hear the song. That’s why I set my alarm as Free Fall by ITZY, coz I didn’t want to taint a song I liked, but I also didn’t want it to be a song I hated. Free Fall’s pre chorus is chefs kiss so now I can’t taint a song I like.

Anyways so. Didn’t set an alarm as a song I liked coz I didn’t want to condition myself to hate the song. However I did make an alarm which is My Copycat by Orange Caramel and I set is as my ringtone and also the alarm that goes off when I’m waiting for my dinner to cook and my mum is using the oven timer. Even though I hardly use this ringtone it still makes me feel like I need to spring into action whenever I hear the song Whoops

It's funny I've always heard people talk about this but never experienced it myself, I've only ever had songs I love as morning alarms and most of the time they stay the same for several years but I still love listening to the song regularly. My current morning alarm is also my regular alarm and my ringtone all at once and it doesn't affect me when I hear it normally, so I guess it really heavily depends on the person?? If anything, even hearing a song I used to have as an alarm for a long time is almost nostalgic kjghfdg

IKEA is a myth! Jk, one time I went to an IKEA when I was younger & I literally jumped on a couch. I got yelled at by a store employee & my mom, and rightfully so. Weirdly enough, even at the time I knew better despite my extremely young age, but the impulsive thoughts got to me though. That's one of the only like 5-7 memories I have between the ages of 4 & 7.

One of my most, and if not the most, vivid memories of me, when I was younger was when I was three & I was outside with my family at night eating on dots (ngl, that candy is mid, I remember thinking so back then too oddly enough, though obviously in a three-year-old thought process. Idk how, but I do remember me thinking that. Still was addicted to them things highkey anyway) & chilling. I think it was in the summertime. I was standing in front of the garage of my Nana's old house when the blue big-eyed thingy flew right in my face.

Thing is I couldn't see (I've always needed glasses), and I could barely hear (I could be considered deaf based on how severe it was. People in Deci might remember what happened to my unlucky infant self). Based on this, I barely have any memories from ages 3-6. I had tympanoplasty when I was 5 or 6 & glasses at 6, so that's why. What I'm trying to get at here is that this memory is kind of important because I don't have many very young childhood memories at all due to my senses being impaired.

Anyways, I see this big crazy bug with crazy eyes zipping right at me, and I passed out. I don't know what happened. Now that I think of it, maybe the dots came after. I don't think it matters because remembering anything at the age of 3 at all is amazing in itself, let alone being impaired on top of that. Nowadays, I know that bug is called a Dragonfly. I like Dragonflies, they don't do anything wrong. But I can't tell my little self that. Ngl, I must've thought the thing was an alien or something. I don't think I even thought about anything tbh (I don't think I should've considering I was 3, Idk what I'd be thinking about anyway). The Dragonfly was medium or light Blue with a light green hue for it's color. Someone please tell me what kind of Dragonfly that was! The mystery of the Dragonfly that caused little bitty Ren Ren to pass out needs to be solved now!
