yep! blue was considered "delicate and dainty" and pink was considered a strong, bold color, so that's why it was a "boy's color." mamie eisenhower actually didn't even set out to change anything - she just liked pink, so she wore it to every public event, and then everybody copied her lol

My son went to his school library the other day and checked out a couple books and he came home & handed me one and said “here mommy, I checked this out for you cause it’s a ghost story but you only have until Tuesday to read it.” And it was so sweet of him & unexpected
