I find the way people who discuss HYBE as a label compared to other companies really interesting...

So like, HYBE isn't a company. HYBE is a collection of companies, right?
Under HYBE we have Big Hit, Source Music, BE:LIFT, Pledis and the label that has NewJeans, I think called ADORE?

BTS are the older sibling of TXT
Enhypen is the unly group under BE:LIFT iirc
Pledis obviously has a large history with idols before being in HYBE but rn from what I know it's fromis_9 and Seventeen
Source had GFRIEND and now has LE SSERAFIM
and ADORE has NewJeans

Yet all of these groups are seen as sibling groups. Even though they're each under their own company.

But no other companies with sub-labels are seen this way.
RBW acquired WM Entertainment. Yet no one says Mamamoo and Oh My Girl are under the same label
Mystic Story is a sub-label of SM Entertainment, yet no one considers Billlie a sibling group of the SM groups

HYBE is just a more established umbrella label. So does this mean Billlie is the forgotten SM child, or the family dynamic of HYBE is more that of cousins than siblings??


Yknow what's even more deep than all this. Why am I suddenly so invested in the HYBE family tree??
