A rant about school supplies with me being a spoiled brat.

I’m currently going into a new grade in a new school. Usually at this time, my mom would buy me a new backpack ( she buys one every 3-4 years). This time was especially important because I could finally stop using the backpacks I chose in kindergarten. A few days ago, she decided not to. Earlier this year, she promised me a backpack and water bottle. She has given me neither.

My current backpack is not that bad. It’s not big enough for by stuff and the shoulder straps are too tight. The thing is that I have been made fun of multiple times for the design of that backpack.

My older sister got a lot of stuff when she went into the grade I’m going into. I’m not asking for fancy planners, folders, binders, organizers and pens. Just a backpack forget the water bottle. When my sister went into my grade, she got all of the above and a backpack as well as a few extra things. My mom told me I would get the same amount of stuff when I was her age. If you’re thinking this is a reward, no it’s not. Out of the three of us kids, I do the most work, behave the best, and am the most consistent in terms of homework and grades. Why do I not get anything while she gets all that.

BTW my parents can afford this.

I wanted a $10 backpack why can’t I have that?

If my mom is trying to take advantage of the fact that I take care of my stuff, I would like her to know that most of my pens, pencils, markers, etc. are either out of ink or breaking. I’ve had some of them for 5 years.

I’m not even asking for a lot.
