okay guys.. i need opinions

so basically ive spent all of my teenage years so far.. watching and taking care of children that arent mine.. i havent experienced going out, having fun, and just being a teenager in general.. now that im in my last year of legally being a child.. i want to get out and try to experience some of the things ive been missing out on.. ive never asked for money, never asked to go to someones house, never asked to go out, never asked for anything but now that im actually wanting to make something of my boring high school career.. i cant ?!.. like my adoptive parents legit makes me sound like the worlds worst kid in history just because i want to have some fun while im still legally a kid.. but yea.. do you guys think im in the wrong ? btw im 17 js incase tha does anything

I have experienced this before and what I learned most is to just put your foot down and say how you really feel with not sugar on it than maybe then they will listen.
