Apparently playing video games has an age limit now.

I’m so irritated. My brother downloaded The Sims 4 on our PS4 because I don’t have the game and I’m super excited about it but then, of course, my mom had to say something.

She goes “you’re 31 years old, you’re too old to be playing video games, you should be focusing on helping me clean house.”

Which, I already do, I may not do a good enough job as she likes or it might not be up to her standards, but I do help out.

But she just kept going on about how I’m too old for video games and I just want to use it as an excuse to not do anything and I was like “if we’re going by that logic, then dad and Joray(my brother) are too old to play video games and they should be focusing on their jobs and not games.”

Naturally she goes, “they do focus on their jobs and that’s why they deserve to come home and rest and relax and play video games.”

So I told her “just admit it, you don’t want me to have any fun or any down time.”

Then she has the fucking audacity to tell me to “calm down and quit being dramatic” I was fucking calm until you started your shit.

now I don’t even feel like playing the damn game because I know she’s going to start her shit when I do and it’s going to ruin the whole experience.

now I’m just in a pissed off and sad mood.

that really sucks she did that, tho, and i'm sorry. you deserve to have fun/relax, too. you're a parent, so hell yeah you need time to relax! i hope you're able to eventually play the game and enjoy it, tho

School got canceled for me because of roads being flooded, but I often find myself saying "I wanna go home" when I'm already at home.
