Spoiler: So, I'm gonna put my random thought in a spoiler, in case of trigger...

I remembered that time I had broken my foot without realizing it because adrenaline prevented me from feeling pain at first.
Which is how I was able to run down a few flights of stairs and a corridor with no problem.

Which led me to thinking of when the guy in the movie (because he must've felt really desperate at that moment) chopped off his own foot with a saw.
Was he protected by the rush of adrenaline so he didn't feel it fully, or was his psyche simply messed up?

Dunno, but I do wonder.
