It depends on what you want to do. My PMOS was going to be 42R, and my SMOS was going to be 42S. Basically, I was an all-around musician. I passed every test and trial, but my flat feet & my immune system prevented me from joining just on paper. They didn't want to take a risk even though I've passed everything. There are also some mental health aspects, because they check that too, but that wasn't the problem.

A lot of people don't realize that most of the military operations aren't fighting and stuff like that. Of course, there are many soldiers tasked with that, and there are specialized MOSs and roles that do that kind of stuff. People were shocked when I told them I was going to the army, but little did they know, I wasn't going to be like infantry or anything like that.

I was super excited. I was supposed to leave in September of last year to go to boot camp. I would've started as a corporal.

People think of the army and automatically think of war. It's actually mainly just nerds on technological operations and monitoring, and also NCOs who may or may not have a Napoleon complex (it's 50/50)
