One topic that gets mentioned quite a lot is the fact originally ITZY consisted of Yeji, Lia, Somi, Ryujin and Chaeryeong as the maknae. but Somi left JYP and was replaced by Yuna in the lineup. Whenever this is discussed, everyone, including myself, always says stuff like it would've been ITZY and friends, Somi shines as a soloist, and they can't imagine ITZY without Yuna. I CAN'T IMAGINE ITZY WITHOUT YUNA. She's loml. Itzy without Yuna would be a little less special... And I think to myself, ITZY without Yuna would feel like something is missing. Because as a Midzy, I know Yuna is this beloved maknae. All the members take care of her, and she's their happy pill. She makes them laugh and she makes me laugh. But then, I realise, literally every kpop group out there probably had a trainee who was good friends with the other members, and made them smile and laugh, but then didn't make the debut lineup. Heck some groups even debuted with more idols than they disbanded with. And yet, none of us would ever realise they weren't there. An idol got cut literally during the Le Sserafim documentary yet no one feels like she would've completed Le Sserafim. We watched Garam get cut in real time. No one really feels like Le Sserafim changed without her (except her fans but yknow, that's always the way). Mamamoo had a 5th member, yet I could never imagine them as 5. If ITZY had debuted with Somi, and Yuna had debuted in NMIXX, no one would be saying "Yuna could've done so well in ITZY" "Yuna is the perfect missing piece of ITZY", instead, we'd all be saying "I can't imagine NMIXX without Yuna"... and that's just... insane to me

I wish more groups did with like Mamamoo did where they avoided using gendered words as much as possible as to not isolate any fans. Like their love songs could be about anyone… except Funky Boy and Rude Boy. Um anyways I don’t mind singing I knew that she would come through even if those aren’t the words lolol


Me saying this as if my favourite ITZY song doesn’t have “boy tell me who you are” as a line. I personally like to imagine it as an “oh boy” situation

So since MASC (the boy group) is one of the participants on an upcoming show called ‘Peak Time’, I really hope that the member ACE isn’t included on this because why tf would anyone wanna see an abuser (who physically harassed and beaten up a member) on the show?
I mean since he already left the group soon after he got exposed for his behaviour, I doubt he’ll be in it so let’s REALLY hope that we’ll never ever see him
