Yang Hyun Suk, former CEO of YG entertainment has been pleaded not guilty of prostitution mediation as the police are not able to find any evidence regarding his prostitution or mediation, including that he has spent millions of won on his card to cover up meal expenses or his trip overseas.
Police have stated on September 20 “we could not find any statements that could be recognized as prostitution or escort services or any objective evidence to prove them."
The police even confirmed that the women had sexual intercourse with the investors overseas. However, no statements or evidence were obtained to prove that whether this is to be considered as prostitution or not
“We finished investigating everyone including the 13 women who attended the meeting in Korea and 10 women who accompanied them overseas. We confirmed the women through departure and arrival information and verified their testimonies. Because of the statute of limitations issue, we forwarded a recommendation of non-indictment based on the results of the investigation and considering the time needed for prosecution to review the case before statute expiration. The prosecution will make the final decision through further investigation."
Yang Hyun Suk and Seungri are confirmed to be summoned next week for the second round of investigations regarding the gambling overseas, which is illegal.
