this one's a big deal - yuta revealed on vlive a few days ago he's friends with a youtuber named rhee-kun ("ligun" in the vlive subtitles) belonging to this channel, and described him as "hilarious" and "like a brother to him." the vlive's since been deleted but outrage is big, since the youtube channel and rheekun's instagram are filled with some really vile misogynist and racist content making fun of korea and korean women in particular, as well as allegedly spreading propagandistic lies about korea to a japanese audience, among other things.
korea suffered immensely bc of japanese imperialism during wwii, which is why this is really disturbing and a sensitive topic for korean fans in particular, who are still fighting to get acknowledgement and reparations from japan for the war crimes that were committed against them.
there's super little english translation of the actual content on his channel, so a lot of international fans are confused or in the dark about what's going on, and most of the info is traveling by word of mouth. but I think this is getting attention from international kpop fans in a way it usually wouldn't because it's the third or fourth time now that an nct member has been accused of supporting right wing youtubers

jungwoo back in late 2018/early 2019
+ jeno and jaemin a few months ago
ofc these were mostly dismissed by international fans because of lack of reliable translation or explanation

NCT is done for tbh, unless SM literally kicks Yuta out.
thats what a lot of people are saying but i think he might actually be fine
nct members arent very individually famous in korea so its really only nctzens discussing the problem, and most of them (as far as ive seen on twitter) only want him to address it, not leave. kind of like jaehyun and itaewon- he and mingyu barely got personally criticized except by their own fans because the general public doesnt really care about them
i guess the bigger problem is that nct members have such a knack for running their mouths and getting into problems lol. but 21 dudes cant all possibly be PR trained and monitored... and suju are still going strong, so
