I made this thread on OH but since it's down I repost here. It's aimed to be an explicit thread with full spoiler.
Miss Trot (미스트롯) is a variety show aimed to cast next gen Trot singer. it's also known as Future Miss Trot (내일은 미스트롯).
Trot is a well known south korean musical genre, loved by those who tend to prefer singing hability over dance.
The show was broadcasted by TV Chosun who gained one of their best viewership with it.
First eps aired around 2019 february 27th and ended may 2nd after 10 eps with the winner who can debut as soloist.
They posted some extract (including full perf) available on their naver channel:

Next I'll explain what happened, since it can be tricky to follow them without the full eps.
Usually there are contestants backstage, perf, and judge comments.
Some perf are posted including the judge reaction like it was aired, but they also posted the full perf as it was recorded, so it's usually better to watch them.
The judges are 12 in the firsts eps. Some are well known singers, but many are for the gallery. Really there were two main judges, but all votes count.
They are many participants. I didn't count, from young trainees to mothers, including ex-girls group members, strong performers and experienced singers like Ji won-i. Did I say some are pretty ? All of them love trot and some are really great singers.
The show itself is pleasant to watch, with many jokes around. But it's still a survival show with the stress of the results.
People could vote inline and during the airing, so usually they gave the judge notes and the inline votes. It was really complex and it turned the table a lot.
