Me too. I can see the cultural appropriation part. I think that as long as people aren’t doing something to make fun of it, it should be okay. Nobody was doing it to hurt anyone and sure, black people may have been harassed in the past for their hair. However, I think that by shaming people for “appropriating” it, we end up taking a step backwards. We draw more attention to the issue, therefore making it a much bigger issue than it should be. Instead of hating on people for the styles they wear, we should express our opinions to the people who shame others, whether they attack the original culture or someone who dresses similarly.
