I'm actually not surprised, considering Iran's stance on women's rights and how the majority of the citizens practice Shia Islam.
It's compulsory for women to wear a hijab in public, and they are seen as way less then men are.
This kind of censorship would be normal for Iran, no matter how wrong it is to treat women this way.

I thought it was only the face blurred, but literally removing them from the picture is totally unacceptable.

i looked it up and seems like this is old news (was first reported on back in october last year). the site is called melovaz for anyone wondering.
if it is in accordance with iranian censorship laws as they claim, then there's not much to be done about it on melovaz's end. the censorship laws themselves have to be contested. personally, since i don't really know much about these laws im not comfortable commenting further beyond that i think this whole thing is pretty whack.
