On March 16th IN2IT went to their fan cafe to announce their name change and plans to re-debut. The statement stated:
Hello IN2IT. IN2IT is starting a new activity under the team name 'SKYE'. From our debut on October 26, 2017 until now, we have built happy memories with IN2U. We sincerely thank IN2U for loving IN2IT, and ask for your support and interest in SKYE's new journey.
They also provided the meaning of their new name:
#SKYE = SKY + Emotion
It means to express our various emotions through music, just like the weather in the sky.
I've loved IN2IT for so long now. I felt so bad that they didn't make it past the first round on Peak Time. They hadn't practiced or done much after they all enlisted for over 2 years. I remembered Jiahn saying that if they disbanded no one would know and that really broke my heart. I am so very glad they decided to go in a new direction instead of giving up on their dreams. I really like the new group name. Clearly the fandom will not be called IN2U anymore, so I'm very interested to see what the new fandom name will be called!
