The international relief and development NGO World Vision (Chairman Cho Myunghwan) announced that Minnie of IDLE has donated 50 million KRW to support children and vulnerable families affected by severe flooding in southern Thailand.
Recently, Thailand has experienced record-breaking heavy rainfall, resulting in severe flood damage across nine southern provinces. The floods have affected 98 districts, 643 communities, 4,688 villages, and approximately 2.2 million people. Many homes and farmland have been submerged, placing children and vulnerable groups in a serious situation where their daily lives and livelihoods are heavily threatened.
Regarding her donation, Minnie said, “My heart broke when I heard that my home country, Thailand, had suffered severe damage from sudden flooding. I hope this support can help children and vulnerable families regain stability and return to their normal lives as soon as possible.”
