Have you left a fandom quietly or announce it to others?

I saw an interesting discussion between some commenters, about how there's a 'quiet' rule about when you enter a fandom you enter loud and proudly while when you leave, you quietly depart from others and fan activities and I was thinking about my time with MCND/CIX and how I was the biggest fan at their debut. And I was just overall wondering what people thought of this question, and what your opinion was on it!.

yeah that's kinda what I always thought to, there was some people within the comments who had another defence for it. While I understand them completely, it could hurt the members if they happen to come across it for sure to

I rarely feel the need to announce my departure unless I think it's worth it if I'm certainly not going back.

I’m not sure tbh. I don’t rlly REALISE that I left a fandom. It’s more, ‘I slowly forget or get into other groups’. But if I actually straight up LEFT a fandom, I wouldn’t announce it for everyone to know.

Probs not ANNOUNCE it. I’d leave quietly. Better that than go on a random website and announce to the ppl that ’I’m not a *this* stan anymore’ and deal with confused and/or irritated fans of the group

normally I don't say I've left a fandom but I do say that I've lost interest in them, for me all the groups I used to really stan I don't stan anymore but I do listen to them every once in a while. for me my interest in the groups isn't as big as it used to be but I don't always just completely stop listening to them.

i get that to, you might not see me talk about MCND or CIX a whole lot, but I def still listen to them, there's no reason to not listen to the songs that bring you a lot of comfort or put you in a good mood.

I feel the same way, I love AB6IX, but it just feels like they aren't as popular as they once was. But I still adore them
