I think it's a lot better than their debut track, but it's not my thing.
They really need to find a more original sound if they want to stand out and become popular.
while certainly better than hit ya, it's still not my thing. the prechorus and bridge are good (and their adlibs toward the end, their vocals are rly good), but that's it. there's nothing special abt it and it honestly sounds kinda like an itzy reject. i can maybe see it growing on me, but idrk. on the plus side, tho, the mv is fun to watch and i like their outfits.
but the bsides, queendom and burn with love, are both rly good and i like them a lot, so there's hope yet! i hope they start getting better title tracks for their sake, but for me personally i don't rly mind poor tts as long as the bsides are good. like, i love itzy a lot, but their tts usually either a) take a while to grow on me, or b) i like them, and then end up hating them later (see dalla dalla and icy, for example); so, i'm stanning for the bsides and the members. i'm hesitant to say i stan lapillus just yet, but the members are super talented, so hopefully their music will get better from here on out!
honestly i rlly liked it but i do hope they spread their wings a little more bc i feel like shanas vocals cannot truly shine in these tts. that being said they slayed and haeun slays every era
Ya'll just summed up my opinion but I'm still gonna give it
Yes, it's much better than their debut song but, as everyone said, it's not my cup of tea. I think they'll have more success if:
1. They add less generic sounds. Maybe not in the main melodies but characteristic sounds, like odd snyths or even better, harmonizations of the members. Even if that's not super original, it goes with the group's name and it will sound unique with that slapping-badass sounds they have.
2. Keep improving the raps. Raps are super important in this type of music and thank god they improved them, like HIT YA's raps were horrendous. It would be nice for them to get better raps to stand out like relevant groups now.
3. Make more creative title tracks, like the bsides of this current comeback. Although I'm a person who doesn't stick with the title tracks, and can perfectly stan a group that only their bsides are good, title tracks are the presentation for a group. They're the ones who get promoted and played during music shows. So yea, title tracks are important for promotions.
Overall I now feel like I "stan" the group, maybe I don't but I support them how I can. As I said, "gratata" is not my thing but it's much better than their debut song. I liked the bsides and love the members. For me that's enough
