Keep the 2nd Gen groups coming. I personally like 2nd Gen girl groups more than 3rd Gen. So if you have more 2nd Gen recommendations I would love that.
Also, this is probably going to be offensive but I actually unstanned Blackpink a few months ago.
I do like Momoland tho.
No, I totally get it. It's not offensive at all. But here are a few more second gen recommendations because they deserve all the love.
EXID - They are actually still a group, even though not all of the members are under the same company anymore. They have some of the best rappers and vocalists in kpop and are criminally underappreciated. Fun fact, they were on the edge of disbanding but went viral because of one of their members' fancam.
Songs I recommend: Up&Down, DDD, Lady.
Kara - Another criminally underappreciated second gen girl group. They unfortunately faced many lineup changes but their songs are timeless and iconic. They're disbanded now but it's never too late to start stanning legends.
Songs I recommend: Step, Mister, Mamma Mia.
Apink - They are a group that passed the 7 year curse and are still going strong. They had a cute and innocent concept for most of their career, but recently they have transitioned into a more mature concept. The members are all very sweet girls and I recommend them for a "feel-good" group.
Songs I recommend: I'm So Sick, %%, LUV.
After School - Like Kara, they faced a lot of lineup changes. Members would "graduate" as quickly as new members were added. However, they're still an amazing group. They've been inactive for years but aren't officially disbanded yet. They also have one of the most iconic sub-units, Orange Caramel.
Songs I recommend: First Love, Flashback, Bang! BONUS: You should also check out songs by their sub-unit like
Catallana and My Copycat.
T-ara: T-ara is still a solid group, but they have also struggled with member leaves and even a bullying scandal. It's impressive, however, that they are still going strong in 2019 despite all of this. Some of their music may seem a little dated but if you're into retro and nostalgic type concepts I would def recommend them.
Songs I recommend: Sugar Free, Roly Poly, Bo Peep Bo Peep.
