A friend in high-school loved the genre, we watched the premier of S.E.S.' video for '('Cause) I'm Your Girl' in November of '97 at his parents place. So thanks to him and S.E.S. I got hooked, then got into G.O.D (Groove Over Dose) and Fin.K.L (Fin Killing Liberty) a couple years later.

so like i liked Blackpink for a couple of years and i never knew they were K-pop actually i honestly didnt even know or heard of k-pop before even tho my aunt was kinda obsessed with it for a couple of yrs but until i even knew what k-pop actually was then technically blackpink was my first k-pop group that i liked but i still say either new jeans or BTS i would say that because i first heard a New jeans song before a bts song when i started kinda liking it but then i went more crazy for BTS then new jeans but if i was to go on technicality it would be BLACKPINK my first group i liked
