Do you dislike popular groups?

I like being hipster and rooting for little guys, it usually stops being fun for me once they’re rich as fuck and the fanbase is huge. At that point it starts being like okay, am I a fan of the idols or am I a fan of their stylists and their choreographers and their pr people and their set designers and their entertainment trainers and their company’s mission statement and... etc etc etc. that said though I don’t know if there are many groups I’ve seen come into serious public spotlight without falling victim to the kind of top40 tropical house edm god knows what music direction and bling that I don’t really like to begin with I guess we’ll see with itzy pretty soon!

For me it's not that they gained popularity it's that they gain a fanbase that makes it impossible for other groups to get out there or succeed. Fanbases can be extremely powerful.
So like an example for me was BTS winning everything this past award season, and some of the awards they won should have gone to other groups, like best male dance group performance should have gone to Seventeen at Mama.
It's more of a resentment thing I guess.
But I'll really listen to any group who's music I like

oh my god same. I know it’s just how Business works but it really gets to my sense of fairness. like seeing big groups get their 60th 80th 100th wins it’s like... what’s the point of getting an award anymore? can we spare some for the true struggle groups now? sigh

For me I listen a lot of popular groups but there are some groups that I just don't like I would not like to mention why I may offend their fans

I really don't care for fame in groups only their music but there are a few popular groups I don't enjoy listening to

I only get bitter sometimes when they win over a less popular group just cause of their popularity. They don't need every award of the world. Fandoms can get annoying but I wouldn't allow an immature fandom to make me stop appreciating quality music of someone, regardless their popularity, I would only pay attention to the group and restrain from getting involved with the toxic part of the crowd.
But that's just me, lol.

Ik this is not all people but some do it Just to look cool. Honestly it’s really dumb tho.. I don’t really care about how popular the group are coz all I do is just listen to their music and watch content about them.. and if I know people who like the same groups as me then I’ll talk about them.

Sometimes i just dislike the FANDOMS when they say stupid things like "maybe Samuel Kim's dad wouldn't have died if he stanned Jimin" like i was fuming mad at that A.R.M.Y. who said that. Like seriously, his dad just died! SHOW SOME RESPECT!!

No, I don't. If I dislike a group it's cause of their music not being my style to which I simply don't pay attention or if they've been confirmed to have done something shitty.

I dont, i just dont stan them or listen to them a little bit. Im mostly a big fan of underrated groups

I don't dislike groups for their popularity status. If I love their music, I'll play their songs repeatedly both on audio and video. That's how a group grows in me, and that's why I generally gave up on kpop.
