Oh Mo-eun POV
I was walking through the halls of my work place when I noticed something different, the walls looked more dead than ever. They were always a bright color. But today they look… sorrowful. As if they weren’t cleaned. Speaking of cleanliness, I haven’t seen the cleaners. Did they not come today? Or they did but left early? Well it’s none of my business, I have to give a stack of papers to my boss so I could move to a different job. I work as a reporter and journalist, but my dream is to become a detective for murder or criminal things. My current job can help me become that detective that I wanted to become. “You're two minutes late Mo-eun, give me the documents, I’ll sign them and then you get out of here.” said my boss, Seo Hyun-gyu. “I’m sorry sir, I’ll do my best to be early.” I said looking at the floor knowing exactly what was about to happen to me. “NO YOU WON’T DO YOUR BEST BECAUSE IF YOU WERE THEN YOU WOULD’VE BEEN HERE TWO MINUTES EARLY, IF YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT EARLY MEANS, DON’T EVEN DARE TO SHOW YOUR FACE HERE,YOU DISGRACE!” He said screaming at me and hitting me. It was normal here in the office, everyone in the office experienced this hatred from our boss. We had to act like everything was fine, but it wasn’t. None of this was fine. I’m happy that at least I can get myself out of this horrible place, this living you know what. ”NOW GET YOUR LATE AND DISGRACEFUL BUTT OUT OF HERE BEFORE I RIP THOSE PAPERS!” he screamed again. His screams echoed through the halls. The other workers heard those screams and they were ready for them. Those loud, horrible and traumatizing screams that we hear on a daily basis. “Are you ok Mo-eun?” asked Yoo Sunmi, my only friend in this company. “You know I’m fine, karma comes a long way. I wish we could be together, Sunmi.” I said responding to her. “Listen, we both had a dream and only one is going to achieve it, and I believe Mr Seo will get what he deserves, I just want to treat him the same way he treats us.” She said whispering, because some women in this company get on his good side. And when we say good side, we mean they get private meetings with him. They had ears like a hawk and they would tell him if people said anything bad about him or the company, and the staff didn't want to know what he would do. I packed all my things when a pile of papers slammed at my desk. “Boss says he wants you to finish these.” said Ahn Ji-su. “Listen Ji-su,” I tried to say but I was cut off. “You now call me Mrs Seo, treat me with respect.” She said, That was a very big shock. “Stop saying you're his partner. Don’t you know that he has a child.” After I said that I heard steps, loud ones and familiar ones. Something hit my head and then BLACK OUT!
