Akdong Musician talks about fans’ concerns regarding YG Entertainment’s scandals + reputation, also their upcoming comeback

On September 25, both Suhyun and Chanhyuk were interviewed at a press conference regarding their release of ‘Sailing’ that will be released today at 6PM KST + their fans concerns regarding the scandals that have been happening since they’re both currently under the company/label, YG Entertainment.

Chanhyuk, who just finished his military service quite a little while ago said:

“I wrote most of the songs on board a ship. The reason that the songs go well with the concept of 'Sailing' is because they were all written while sailing in the ocean. I worked on them in a setting where I had no guitar, just a notebook and pen; I would write down the lyrics and then add a melody over those lyrics, memorizing them. I worked like that for a month. I understand what our fans are concerned about. We are also debating on this matter. However, the people that we are currently working with are all good people. We've stayed up night after night working together in a happy environment. So at the moment, I want to spend my time focusing on making happy memories and seeing the fruits of those times."

I hope this shows that not all groups/idols/employees at YGE are corrupt or are taking part in these big scandals
Please give them a break, Yang Hyunsuk was to blame, as well as the specific artists that caused their own controversies, leave the company itself alone, especially since they have a new CEO
But i cant wait for the comeback, AKMU fighting !!

I'm glad that they are working hard and surrounded by people that actually care. Honestly the artists were the most affected just because of the CEO who was so selfish... I hope they won't get attacked and everything goes smoothly.

I think their board is also to blame. The CEO doesn't always make decisions by himself/herself. But I do think it's sad how YG put them on the back burner until their biggest moneymakers became trapped in scandals.

Not really talking about that, but more about the scandals that Yang Hyunsuk had with prostitution related things. It's disgusting to think that he didn't gave a sh*t about what would happen to all of the artists if that went public.
