I'm pretty sure all of you could tell me what the purpose of a dance practice is, but I'll give my interpretation.
Dance practices exist for the purpose of showing the viewer the full dance without all the editing in music shows and the music video.
This helps viewers to learn the dance, feel more connected to their idols, and actually know what the dance is!
This segways nicely into the topic I chose to rant about today....moving camera dance practices.
So many groups are starting to film dance practices with a moving camera in order to capture specific members.
However, this prevents the viewer from actually seeing the dance.
Moving dance practices are basically just casual music show performances.

One group that I find does this quite a lot is Blackpink, Now I'm not hating on the girls in anyway. They have no control over how the dance practice if filmed.
I honestly feel like a lot of moving dance practices try to cover up for an easy choreography or a member who preforms it poorly.
Considering the difficulty level of Blackpink's chorero's this makes sense to me. Also not saying they are bad dancers, they don't get to chose their dances.
Here is an example:
This is the dance practice for "Don't Know What To Do", which is actually my favorite song of theirs.
If you didn't notice, in the title it says 'Moving Version'. But after doing some searching, there is no fixed camera version.

There are many fixed dance practices that I could chose from for an example, but I'll stick with Blackpink for solidarity.
This is the dance to Boombayah, a much more difficult dance, but one of their firsts, when moving camera practices are much more popular.
Because we can see their whole bodies we can become more connected to the song and performance, and have an easier time learning the dance (like me!).

What is your opinion on camera work with dance practices?
I know it may seem like a non-important issue to you, but to me as a dancer, it is difficult to not see and get irritated by.

i love when they released fixed version of dance practices because i can see the dance better, and if i wanna see some "moving version" of the dance practices I prefer to watch their performances on music show even tho the camera works sometimes (more like often) make me mad because they can't capture the "right" moment

Yes you're right. A fixed camera is better. We can see it from one point of view and try to learn the steps. With a moving camera it can get really confusing and can't concentrate on the steps well.
