Is it rude to say excuse you because I say it, but I don’t mean it in a rude way because my sister told me that I should never say excuse me because it’s not my fault that the hallway is crowded and that frankly no one else says it (she’s in high school school by the way) so that I should stop saying excuse me

it depends on the tone and who youre saying it to
never say it to ppl older than you unless youre asking softly to repeat smth, but even so, js ask them to repeat
