So there's a cover that Jongho and Maddox released together three years ago--Ditto by NewJeans. And like--omg?? Idk if you've heard it before (you've certainly been a kpop stan and ATINY longer than I) but it's a softer, acoustic version of the song and it's so freaking good
I haven't really heard Maddox's singing voice properly before, but it's so stunning--and of course Jongho is Jongho; no one can compare--I am in love with this cover and I have no idea why I haven't been listening to Maddox's songs for as long as I knew they existed?? Or why no one ever mentioned this cover??
It's so rare to hear Jongho sing the lower part in a harmony, but it's so angelic this way. I love his lower register and softer tones so much
I find that I often have certain covers that will capture my heart for a little while and I'll listen to it multiple times a day for weeks. For example, Hongjoong's Cupid cover was that for me, as well as Yeosang's Hug Me cover. (If you haven't heard either of these, you should listen; they're so good!!) There used to be someone who uploaded these covers to Spotify, but their podcast has been taken down, and now the music I want to listen to is no longer available in my music listening place and it's very sad. But I will listen to these as often as I can on YouTube

I think when it comes to kpop, there is so many releases back to back a lot of people often forget about them unless they are talked about or included in a list for a streaming project. 2023 was a couple years ago, but idk if its just me but dance performances seem to do better sometimes then vocal ones. It just depends on the time I think
