Chapter 1:
You loved that about it at firstโ€”it was quiet, in an old, historical building, and your boyfriend, Hyunjin, loved to hold you close to keep you warm. But lately, the cold seemed to be coming from him.
"Youโ€™re shivering again," Hyunjin murmured, his voice a low, velvety purr that usually made your heart skip. He was standing behind you, his long fingers wrapped around your waist as you stared into the dark hallway.
"I think the heat is broken," you replied, trying to sound casual, but your voice trembled.

Chapter 2:
Hyunjin didn't answer immediately. He leaned down, his lips brushing against the sensitive skin of your neck, his breath unnaturally cold. "I'll take care of it, Y/N. I always take care of you."
You had been with Hyunjin for a year, and the love was intense, almost suffocating. He adored you, he said. He proved it by buying you clothes, buying you food, and rarely letting you spend time with anyone else. "They don't understand you like I do," he would say, stroking your hair, his eyes narrowed and intense.
That night, you woke up because the bed felt empty. The silence in the apartment was heavy, unnatural. You sat up, blinking against the shadows.
"Hyunjin?"
No response.

Chapter 3:
You got up, pulling a robe around you, and walked into the living room. The moonlight streamed in, illuminating the room. Hyunjin was standing in the center, staring at a massive, ornate mirror he had brought in last week. He was looking at his reflection, but he wasn't smiling.
"Hyunjin?" you whispered again.
He turned slowly, his face expressionless. "You shouldn't be awake, darling."
"I... I wanted to find you."
He walked towards you, his movement eerily graceful, like a predator stalking prey. He trapped you against the cold wall of the hallway. "Youโ€™re mine, right? Forever?"

Chapter 4:
"Yes, Hyunjin."
"Good." He smiled then, a dazzling, beautiful smile that didn't reach his cold, dark eyes. He brushed a strand of hair from your face, his touch both tender and terrifying. "Because I would hate to have to keep you in the mirror with me."
You felt your soul shudder. You realized, with a surge of panic, that the front door was locked from the outside.
"Now," he whispered, leaning in closer, his lips near your ear, "go back to bed. I'll be there soon."
You did what he said. You had to. Because as you walked back to the bedroom, you could feel his eyes watching you, and the cold, lingering fear told you that you were never leaving him, alive or dead.

Chapter 5:
The air in the hallway felt suddenly thin, stealing the breath right from your lungs. Every step toward the bedroom was agonizingly slow, the hardwood floors feeling like ice beneath your bare feet. The house was silentโ€”too silentโ€”except for the faint, rhythmic ticking of the grandfather clock in the foyer that seemed to be counting down the seconds until he followed you.
You reached the bedroom and stopped in the doorway. It was exactly as he liked it: impeccably tidy, dark, and suffocating. The sheer curtains swayed, though all the windows were sealed shut.
Never leaving. The words looped in your mind, a terrifying mantra.
You didn't turn on the lights. Instead, you walked to the bed, the mattress sinking under your weight. You lay down, pulling the heavy velvet duvet up to your chin, staring up at the ceiling. You wanted to cry, to scream, to run to the door and tear at the lock until your fingernails bled, but the image of his eyesโ€”cold, dark, and utterly devoid of warmthโ€”paralyzed you.
Seconds turned into minutes. The silence stretched, heavy and ominous.
Creak.

Chapter 6:
The sound of the floorboards outside the door made your heart leap into your throat. The door handle turned slowly.
You closed your eyes, pretending to be asleep, hopingโ€”prayingโ€”that if you were quiet enough, this nightmare might pause. The door opened with a soft sigh. The scent of rain and cold metallic air flooded the room. He didn't turn on the light. He didn't need to. He knew exactly where you were.
You felt the mattress dip beside you. The air in your lungs froze.
"I know you're awake," he whispered, his voice smooth as silk and cold as death. A hand, unnervingly gentle, traced the curve of your jawline, moving down to rest lightly on your throat. "You did so well tonight."
He leaned closer, his cold lips brushing against your ear.
"You're mine now, y/n. And I never let go of whatโ€™s mine."

THE END OF BOOK ONE!!
BOOK TWO COMING LIKE TOMORROW MAYBE TODAY.

Chapter 1 Book two:
A jolt of pure panic tore through your chest, but you forced your body to remain rigid, terrified that any sudden movement would trigger something worse. His fingers weren't just resting; they were counting the vertebrae in your neck, moving with the possessive rhythm of a man admiring a prize.
"I know, I know," he murmured against your lobe, his breath freezing the tears that had finally escaped your eyes. "Shh. Don't ruin the quiet."
He shifted his weight, and a sharp, metallic tangโ€”like old blood and rainโ€”choked you. He pulled the heavy blanket down, not quickly, but slowly, exposing you to the frigid air of the room. You felt the cold, hard press of something against your skin, a jarring contrast to the unnerving softness of his hand.
He leaned back just enough to look at you, though in the pitch-black room, you could only feel his gaze. It felt heavy, suffocating.
"You're shaking, my love," he whispered, tracing a slow, agonizing line down your throat with a cold, metallic object. A tremor passed through you that you couldn't control. "Good. That means you know."
He leaned down again, his voice dropping to a rasp that seemed to echo inside your skull.
"Tomorrow, we start again. But tonight..." He paused, his lips barely touching your skin. "Tonight, you don't sleep."

Chapter 2 Book two:
A shudder tore through you, involuntary and sharp, despite your desperate attempt to remain perfectly still. His hand on your throat didn't tighten, yet it held you with a crushing authority, the coldness of his skin seeping into your jugular.
He let out a soft, low chuckle that vibrated against your earlobe, a sound devoid of any humor.
"Don't fight it, y/n," he murmured, his breath smelling faintly of peppermint and rain. "Fighting only makes the adrenaline spike, and I prefer you calm."
Slowly, agonizingly, he traced a thumb over your pulse point, feeling the frantic, hammering rhythm you couldn't control. The mattress shifted further as he leaned more of his weight against you, making it impossible to breathe deeply. The sheer possessiveness in his voice was terrifyingโ€”a soft, deadly promise.
"You're shaking," he observed, a hint of mock concern in his silk-smooth tone. He brushed a stray hair away from your forehead, his touch unnervingly tender for someone who had just turned your life into a waking nightmare. "You're safe now. As long as you remember... you are mine."
He withdrew his hand from your throat, only to wrap his arm around your waist, pulling you against his chestโ€”solid, freezing, and inescapable.
"Sleep now, little thing," he whispered into the darkness. "We have so much to do tomorrow."
