Chapter 6:
The roar of the rushing water drowned out your own voice. You were drifting, the wooden boat jolting over small waves, but your eyes were locked on the shoreline, frozen in horror.
Jungwon was running, his breathing ragged, but he was losing speed. Chan was moving with a terrifying, calm deliberate stride, the sharp object in his hand catching the last rays of the setting sunβ€”a knife, or perhaps just a jagged piece of metal. But the way he held it, casual yet precise, was far more terrifying than if he had been sprinting.
β€œJUNGWON!” You finally screamed his name, your voice cracking, tears blurring your vision.
MY JUNGWONNN WAHHH 😭 😭

Chapter 7:
Jungwon didn't look back. He couldn't. He was focused on the dense treeline ahead, trying to gain distance. But Chan was gaining. The disappointment in Chan’s eyesβ€”the way he looked at Jungwon not with rage, but with a cold, almost detached annoyanceβ€”was the most haunting part. It was as if he was merely correcting a mistake.
β€œNo, no, no,” you whispered, slamming your fists against the side of the boat, scrambling for the oars.
Chan caught up.
You saw him raise his arm. The scene slowed downβ€”a brutal juxtaposition of the quiet, beautiful evening sky and the violent action about to unfold.

MY JUMGWON!! NOOO WHAT HAPPENSS

Chapter 8 end of first book:
Jungwon stumbled over a tree root.
You screamed again, closing your eyes, unable to watch, just as a sharp, metallic clang echoed across the water, followed by a heavy silence that was more terrifying than your screams. When you opened your eyes, the shoreline was empty, but the boat was still drifting further and further into the dark, cold water. You were alone.
CLIFF HANGER!
Book two coming

Chapter 1 Book two:
Your heart hammered against your ribs, a frantic, sickening rhythm that matched the terrifying stillness of the shoreline. The silence that followed the clang was louder than your screamβ€”a heavy, suffocating blanket that seemed to drown out the sound of the lake water lapping against the hull.
β€œJungwon!” you shrieked again, the sound tearing at your throat.
You stood up in the small boat, rocking it violently, heedless of the danger of tipping into the freezing black water. The shoreline was a dark blur of trees, and they were gone.
They were gone.
You grabbed the oars, your hands trembling so violently you could barely grip them. You had to go back. You had to see. But the panic held you paralyzed, a cold, icy dread rooting you to the spot.
Slowly, the silhouette of a figure emerged from the treeline.
It wasn't Jungwon.
It was Chan.
He was walking back toward the water's edge, his movements still, calm, and maddeningly unhurried. He was wiping his hand on a cloth, the sharp metal object gone. As he reached the edge of the trees, he turned, looking directly at the boat.
Even from this distance, you felt the weight of his gaze. It wasn't the look of a killer satisfied with his work; it was the look of a teacher who had just disposed of a failed experiment. The disappointment was still there, cold and detached.
He stood there, watching you drift, a silent sentinel in the encroaching dark. He didn't smile. He didn't make a move to come out into the water. He simply waited.
And you realized, with a sickening jolt, that the silence wasn't because it was over.
The silence was because you were next.

IT IS A LITTLE LONGER THAN USUAL BECAUSE I HAD MORE TIME TO WORK ON IT.

Chapter 2 Book two:
You froze, your breath catching in a throat suddenly dry as dust. Chan’s silhouette was a dark smudge against the treeline, his composure far more terrifying than any frantic aggression. He was waiting for you to break, for the fear to force you into a mistake.
But the silence was broken not by a sound from the shore, but by a wet, shuffling movement from the far side of the boat’s console.
You gasped, tearing your gaze away from Chan to look down.
It was Jungwon.
He was slumped against the hull, breathing in shallow, ragged rasps. His shirt was ruined, a deep, dark stain spreading quickly across his side, and his face was terrifyingly pale, slick with cold sweat. His eyes were unfocused, struggling to stay open, but as they locked onto yours, a spark of fierce, stubborn life lit them up.
"Go," he breathed out, the word barely audible over the lapping water. He tried to straighten up, to push himself up, but his wounded side gave out, forcing him back down with a sharp intake of breath. "You... you have to go."
You couldn't move. The sight of himβ€”broken, bleeding, yet still trying to protect youβ€”shattered the paralyzing fear into a frantic, adrenaline-fueled desperation.
On the shore, Chan noticed the shift. He tilted his head slightly, the movement too slow, too deliberate. The silent sentinel began to walk, taking one slow step into the shallow water, his eyes fixed on the wounded figure on your boat.
"He's coming," Jungwon whispered, his hand tightening around a piece of broken gear on the deck, his knuckles white. He looked at you, a mix of apology and fierce determination in his gaze. "You can still make it. Take the engine."
But you weren't going to leave him. Not like this.
You moved towards him, diving for the emergency kit as the boat rocked, your eyes darting between your wounded friend and the man in the water, who was now ankle-deep, and still, watching.

Chapter 4:
Jungwon tried to talk Y/N out of staying here but Y/N wouldn't listen. "What is wrong with you?"Why do you want to leave?" Jungwon hesitated but then finally spoke up "Chan isn't who you think he is."
There was a long silence. "What do you mean?" Y/N said with her voice quivered.
"I found something in the cellar that I had a key to." said Jungwon scared.
"I-I don't know if I was just imagining it or not but I swear I saw Chan with someone." Jungwon continued
" Th-Then it was just your imagination, because why could Chan do that?" Y/N asked almost in tears.
Jungwon started speaking " I don't know, but if it was real... then we need to go NOW.
Y/N started to believe him. So Jungwon and Y/N went to the dock to get on the boat but as soon as Y/N got in the boat Chan appeared behind Jungwon still on the dock.
Ummm Chan what the heck is a person doing in your cellar…. Do you need mental help?
