Just wanted to tell y'all about this because I'm excited.
We had a theater competition a few days ago, we were performing a 40-minute play. We'd made it to state, and we were one of like five groups out of thirty or so that got every award it was possible to get there
including Critic's Choice, the most difficult to get, which basically means we did really well all-around and our show didn't feel like a high school, it felt like a professional performance. We got a standing ovation (I went to see like six other shows that day and only one got a standing ovation and that show was fucking incredible, so that's pretty awesome that we got one) and my director said she heard someone shout "You just missed the best show ever!" across the house (for people who aren't commonly in theaters, read: "seating area") to their friend when it was over. The audience was very loud and reactive, which feels wonderful! Also, I'm finally done with that show, which is a relief, because I was getting so sick of it by now ㅎㅎ
