geez I’m not even a fan of omega x but the situation that they’re at regarding their female CEO is extremely heartbreaking and HOLY FUCK I AM FUMING!!!!!!!!!
Just the whole situation with not just how the way she treats the members, but also the translators like HELLO????!?!?!?! Not gonna go into it but just need to say that ABUSE IS NEVER OKAY AT ALL!!!!!!! Yet the fact she even screamed at the members in public as well like gosh…..there’s literally video and audio proof of it all and i reckon yall should check it out if you’re curious to know about what happened. But if you are sensitive to seeing any kinds of abuse, then I don’t suggest watching the video (uploaded by SBS especially) for your own discretion.

The mamamoo are racist scandal(s)
Note- didn’t want to have to talk about this but since a lot of false information is spread about mamamoo I thought might as well spread light on it
Note number 2- you are not obliged to forgive or stan mamamoo, just perhaps you will understand better what happened

Case 1: Hwasa saying the n word
Reason: She was provided lyrics by Melon which contained the n word. Hwasa is not anywhere near fluent in English. She was singing what she saw and unfortunately those were the lyrics provided.
Melon thankfully changed the lyrics but the damage was done.
This took place BEFORE the big scandal which is up next, but antis pretend it happened after.

Case 2: Mamamoo blackface scandal
Reason: They were doing a parody of Uptown Funk where they tried to make themselves look like Bruno Mars. Just hours after their concert was over, they apologised on both the RBW account and the Mamamoo accounts, in both English and korean. They also cried on stage the next day after hearing about how bad they’d messed up.
Despite what antis say, they HAVE NOT done is since. There’s a pic of Solar they use to say they did it again, however she is portraying a Korean beggar, not a black person.

Case 3: Hwasa wore a durag
Reason: I believe it was part of (or inspired by) a collection by Beyoncé, who is someone she admires a lot. I’m not 100% sure about what happened with this one. From what I can infer she probably did not know what it was and thought it was just a piece of clothing she could wear. (Screw MNET for allowing her to wear it on stage)

Overall, I’m not excusing what they’ve done. Overall I think that RBW, Mamamoo and all the agencies involved in allowing these events to happen need to be more aware and open about other cultures as to stop offending people. I don’t believe mamamoo had any malicious and horrible intentions behind any of these scandals. As mentioned above, you are not obliged to forgive.

Solar has a scandal that I personally consider the worst of Mamamoo

Originaly "Decalcomanie" MV had a scene were suggested s*xual abuse and harassment is romanticized. RBW deleted the clip but Solar didn't see any problem in it. I saw the scene 2 years ago so I don't remember very well but it wasn't the worst I've seen. Anyways I do think that all members should have apologized.

I saw the scene 2 years ago so I don't remember very well but it wasn't the worst I've seen. Anyways I do think that all members should have apologized.

An yes I remember this one too. I felt very disappointed by it. Mamamoo have done things which are disappointing, which I tended to ignore when I was younger. Now, if you want to enjoy kpop, in my eyes you have to accept the faults of your idols and groups
