I don't see the problem. Music is supposed to be something universal, if otherwise then kpop groups/idols shouldn't perform in any shows outside Asia... (?) But that's just my opinion.

i suppose it's different for MAMA to have a western artist perform, but i don't think it's an issue. if asian artists can perform internationally than western artists should be allowed to do the same. and besides, MAMA isn't strictly an asian-only thing - yes, it's technically based in asia but there isn't anything stating that international celebrities can't perform there... so yeah that's my take on this : )
