I don't, I am a Libra and none of the things about Libra's are true about me... I enjoy drama and would definitely not try to stop it or create peace.

Some stuff for mine, yes, but then some stuff, not. Like Capricorn’s enjoy working, I do not. Capricorn’s also love money, which is true for me lol

Yeah, my mom is an astrologer so astrology has a big impact on my life. Some people say it’s not accurate, but it’s typically because they’re only looking at one specific aspect of their chart (most commonly their sun sign) instead of the whole picture with all of the different aspects

I don’t believe in them, as to me I have doubts that time of year that you’re born can influence your personality. It feels a little too fantasy to me. I think it’s fun to think about them tho

i definitely believe in astrology! have had personal anecdotes that have reaffirmed that belief multiple times. i think most people are quick to dismiss it because they only look at sun signs, but astrology is a lot more complex than that!

another reason i think people dismiss it or are against it is because they don't want to feel like their lives are preordained or set in stone but in my opinion: a) some people do derive comfort from the idea of destiny and b) i don't think astrology tells you who you are or what your life will be in such rigid terms. astrology considers the positioning of the celestial bodies at the time of birth as ONE factor of who you are and how your life can unravel; many other factors are obviously going to affect you like your culture, gender, socioeconomic background, etc.

if you like, i definitely suggest giving astrology another chance, even if it still end up not being your thing, if only to understand why people do believe in it.

Not really (but some exceptions) since things about Aquarius match me and then some don't and I know people who match those traits, but I'm an Aries moon/Libra Ascendent which I can relate to and match to more

actually you may be surprised to hear that mbti has been called a pseudoscience not unlike astrology/horoscopes. if you look into the history of it its not quite the very empirical system i think a lot of people assume it is. that was my assumption as well, that it was developed my scientists in the field of psychology and not in fact by two women with no background in psychology who read a lot of jung. personally i never get a result that makes sense for me. heck i find the concept of humorism and the four temperaments more useful, but that's just me, call me old fashioned lol.

I'm going to pretend that I know most of the scientific words but I do agree that mbti tests never really give me a result that makes sense and they change everytime I take the dang test so.. :^

Honestly that is interesting but I truthfully do not hold any dependence on these things to depict who I am and how my personality is derived. I simply see one as a bit more relatable to myself than a zodiac sign is all. At the end of the day this is blunt but I couldn’t care less for either of them when it comes to who I am and how I live my life and perceive myself. It’s cool to see similarities and take advice dependent on those but at the end of the day what it says and how it happens is just observation.

Also want to add since this did come across a bit harsh, I do appreciate you sharing your knowledge on the subject. I have a friend who is incredibly interested in personality stuff as well and they have had me take multiple reliable personality tests that I have related to. It’s simply interesting to see what your mindset depicts wether you take it to heart or not. All of my friends as well have related to the ones they received which is the reason I ever found it interesting. Knowing this does not change my opinion towards not believing zodiacs but it truthfully does drop my interest in personalities.

empirical means that something is based on observation and experience that can be proven/verified and/or that we perceive through our senses. most scientific things have to be proven with empirical evidence through observation or experimentation (the scientific method). i understand it (in my own words) to be facts that we can prove by the use of our senses (sight, smell, etc) or by experiments (like measuring the weigth or height of something).

what i meant in my original post is that a lot of people may assume that mbti uses empirical research, so factual observation or experimentation, for its test, but it doesn't.
