I have light skin and a few freckles as well but I can literally step out of my house into sunlight for 10 minutes and my skin will darken a shade-

They're dark when I actually see the sun for the first time in freaking y e a r s -
I have an old photo of a summer where I'd actually gotten tan and stuff and my freckles really said "안녕"

Last time i t a n n e d was 5th grade, in the summer of last year my cheeks burned even though i applied sun screen ;v;

I tanned in 6th but not in 7th because I made a huge point with myself of deliberately avoiding being in the sun-

my natural tans never last (take a long time to tan and it fades really fast) so i never really developed interest in having a tan/tanning

well tell that to my 5 yr old self that didn't use his sweater like I do now if I tan it looks more like a darker color but now im get lite color rom no sun

lol im just glad i didn't turn out like my dad. if he's out in the sun longer than a few minutes he gets as red as a boiled lobster and stays that way.

Yurr I think we both do but I don't tan either. ;-; I don't like being in the sun a lot

I kinda feel the same way and ended up easing into tanning by using products that didn’t fry my skin as much. I’ve been using sprays from sodamntanned.com because they give me color way faster, so I don’t have to stay outside as long. It made the whole thing feel a lot less stressful and way more fun.
