So Seventeen is my ult group and I wanted to show them some love, so I decided to rank their title tracks!
I'm including Japanese tracks and the b-sides that were released a singles as well, which is just 'Hit' and 'Getting Closer'.
Also only Korean tracks.
I love every single one of these songs, just some more than others.
In my opinion Seventeen has the best discography in kpop.
Please don't hate on my opinion....
Least Favorite:
17. Hit
There was just too much edm in it for me. But the choreography was epic and I still love the singing and rapping in it.
16. Oh My!
It just felt a bit underwhelming in the beginning of the chorus. Chill songs like this in general tend to be not my favorite. But the vocals served in this song are *chef's kiss*.
15. Boom Boom
The jackets just killed me a bit. Also the hip thrusting part The8 does makes me feel a bit uncomfy. But this song still slaps.
14. Mansae
Everything about this song is beautiful, except for how often they say mansae. It's so cute though!
13. Happy Ending
This is another chill song, so not my favorite. But the "Happy Ending" part in the chorus was so powerful, it just hits you.
12. Fear
So I didn't like this song at first, but of course now I love it! I just dislike the whispering parts in it. DK and Seungkwan's highnotes are god level and Wonwoo just ate up this era.
This is where it gets really hard. The ranking from this point is just coming down to which one sounds better, not because of an aspect of the song. So there isn't much for me to explain.
11. Adore U
I love this debut so much! I just wish the distribution was a bit better I guess. But hearing this song truly solidified that DK is my angel.
10. Clap
Again, I love this song so much, it is iconic and it slaps. I just don't find myself listening to it as often as the next songs.
9. Left and Right
This was a great comeback for Seventeen, and I listened to DK's bridge part on repeat for about 10 min.
8. Fallin' Flower
Another work of art, literally if you have seen the MV. Also, the choreo is top notch and as a contemporary dancer I was squealing while watching it.
7. Home
Home is one of the most relaxing songs I have ever heard. I love it so much! I wish more people talked about it.
6. Call Call Call!
This is an iconic Japanese release. Vernon's "Moshi Moshi?" is just IT. The prechorus is like candy to my ears. And my boy The8 got lines, and not just any lines, but rap lines!!!
5. Aju Nice
This song is just pure Seventeen. At DK's intro I was hooked. This song is so cute and the choreo is also amazing.
4. Don't Wanna Cry
Their most popular song, and for a reason! This is the song, well the dance that made me stan. It was my number one for a while, but 1-3 just surpassed it by a bit. This song is perfection.
3. Pretty U
I feel like this song can be underrated at times idk. But Seungkwan's epic high note and just the rest of the song are just on fire. The choreo was also really inventive with the use of the couch and the notebook.
2. Thanks
I have so much love for thanks, and I'm so thankful (te he) for it's release. We got The8 coming back from hiatus with his legendary mullet and taking the center for the key portion of the choreo. Joshua also slayed in this era as well. Just the overall concept was beautiful.
And last but not least.......
1. Getting Closer
I didn't discover my true love for this song until I watched their MAMA stage for it. Highly recommended you watch it, it will change your life.
I have heard many people say they don't like this song because of the concept change, and I too don't really like a dark Seventeen, but Getting Closer is just that b*tch. Every single part of it has me hooked, from Hoshi's hand reaching out and Mingyu's intro line, till the dance break ans beyond. Speaking of the dance break, we got this iconic Dino meme perfectly imitated by Seungkwan (get better soon):
The rap parts were amazing, the singing parts and high notes, and the choreography is just incredible. This song gives me chills it's that good.
Thank you for reading through me gushing about every single Seventeen title track!
Seventeen does not have a bad song, nobody can convince me they do!
Fighting Seventeen!!!
