Fans speculate a Chinese V fanbase spent $30K to bulk purchase his songs and game the charts

V's Solo song Sweet Night couldn't chart on the Billboard Hot100 which would be impossible for a song originally projected to sell 30K units and spending 5 days at #1, unless Billboard filtered more than half of the sales and streams.

Then these screenshots came up

im still kinda confused but personally, i think it’s kinda messed up especially when the artists finds out some of their views/sales/streams aren’t even real but idk that $30k couldve been used for a better cause than to support ur fav

I feel like if I was an artist in V's position, I would be grateful, but I wouldn't feel like my song was getting validation for the right reasons.
There are also much more important causes to spend 30k on like the pandemic, the black lives matter movement, pride month, etc.
Streaming and bulk buying like this just has never sat well with me, like the comments say before, it kinda just feels like cheating.

I'm an ARMY and I definitely agree. V would appreciate the fact that they supported his song, but I'm sure he would wish that it was used for a better purpose.

BTS love the fact that we support them,but I'm sure they would want the song to have more exposure and for non BTS fans to listen to it, not just loads of ARMY'S spending tons of money.
