so the first time i heard about ZARD was obviously several years after Izumi Sakai passed away in 2007, she was (and still is) one of Japan's biggest solo artists ever both in sales and influence (she sold over 42 million albums!)
a few weeks ago i read that they were planning to release a posthumous music video for it but i almost forgot, despite the group discography being older than me i honestly think that her / ZARD's discography (both names are interchangeable) is really good and definitely worth checking, my favorite song is of course Yureru Omoi!
btw they also announced a new version by SARD UNDERGROUND who are the official cover band of ZARD
and this past week was the 16th anniversary of Izumi Sakai's death, she died at the age of 40 while being treated for cancer
seems they have planned some stuff for this year, that's nice
SARD UNDERGROUND are nice, i guess they are the closest thing i'm going to have to experiencing ZARD, definitely worth checking
oh also speaking of Yureru Omoi the MV was compiled from footage of this performance posted by the ZARD channel a few years ago
