honestly i think yg is ruining blackpink and most of this is on them. I dont hate blackpink or think they are bad people. They've done alot of cultural appropriation, and they've been called out but keep doing it. heres a vid if u want
I think they and yg should be held accountable. another reason i unstanned them is because of the way yg treats them. yg treats them awfully until they get into a scandal. the repetitive dancing (i do acknowledge its improved over the years tho) the lack of songs and only 1 album for a group thats been around for almost 5 years, and the favoritism. I think its obvious and that alot of people know jennie is favored. I mean they promoted her solo too the absolute most they could but do pretty much the bare minimum for the group. not only that its been 4-5 years and only 2 members have solos, thats way more than enough time for all of them too have multiple solo songs now. i think alot of ppl also know about the adidas controvresy. if not basically adidas released alot of pics of the other girls for a promo but like 2-3 for jisoo (correct me if im wrong) and not only that, jewelry from a culture is NOT an aesthetic, a culture isnt a aesthetic either. its okay too compliment the culture and appreciate it but dont use it for fashion. heres a few comments from a few ppl on the video i linked all of which i agree with " u will never understand how it feels to have ur culture, race and ethnicity mocked by people only to have them adopt them as their own because when they do it it’s “cool” and “trendy”. ps, these are adult women, and these stans are allowing them to go unscathed as if they had no hand in hurting black people, native americans and desi brown people " "Blinks need too hold their artists accountable." " Honestly we dont know blackpink personally, they could be great people, or racist you just dont know; especially with famous people who are comonly entitled and say offensive things that act like angels, just like with Jimin from AOA. Im not saying bp are bad people we just dont know them. And Rose grew up in new zealand so she should definetly know not too cultural appropriate. Yg should educate their artists and make sure this stuff isnt happening, although i dont wish it upon them i think bp is eventually gonna have a 'witchhunt' happen against them for this stuff within a few years. so how do u guys feel about this?
