Why Do Some People Think Sullyoon Lacks Charm?

I was browsing a K-pop community, and a member had the audacity to say that Sullyoon lacks the charm despite having one of the most beautiful faces in the industry today. Why do you think people think this way?

Some people have their own opinion in beauty standards but I think she's beautiful and everybody is beautiful.

I think a lot of people attack visuals for their personality and talents out of jealousy. A lot of kpop stans I feel have lower self esteem or histories of bullying and such so they see idols like Sullyoon having a beautiful face and being talented or funny and loved and they’re like “why don’t I get that too” so they have to bring them down to feel better about themselves.

Or maybe she simply doesn’t fit their standards. I don’t think there’s any point insulting idols online though

Sullyoon is obviously very gorgeous and probably the prettiest 4th gen girl. By "charm" I don't think they mean her features, but rather her charisma. To be honest, I never paid much attention to NMIXX before this post, but after watching a few live performances and variety shows, I kind of see what they mean. She's very shy and introverted, and it seems when fans praise her, it's usually for her looks and not her talent, which is quite unfortunate. Speaking of which, her stage presence, vocals, and dancing are very good. I hate to compare idols, but I saw a lot of people say that she was like Tzuyu, Karina, or Wonyoung but without the charm. Her stage presence is just as good as (and in my opinion better than) Tzuyu and Karina but with Wonyoung it's a little different. I think that because she's so pretty, fans expect more of her, like how Wonyoung is usually the face of IVE and is never quiet during interviews or variety shows. A lot of her critique stems from comparison actually, I've found a lot of videos and posts comparing her to Wonyoung. It's quite sad. If she was more talkative, I'm sure she would be very popular, but I find her personality appealing too. She's a pretty awkward, but also elegant in a way that makes her unforgettable. In my opinion, I don't think she lacks charm at all. I just think she has a very unique kind of charm that we don't see often in K-pop.

charm doesn't necessarily mean beauty. They would be referring to her personality. But either way they most likely said this because they're insecure and feel threatened by her.
