I love Coraline, but only once I turned 12.
Some of the characters were just super creepy. For me it was when the 2 sisters got tangled together and Coraline had to go in and take the eye they had.

Pennywise from Stephen King's IT. Mf gave me nightmares and I had to sleep in my younger brother's room for a week because I was scared to sleep alone.

Now, I laugh whenever I think about Pennywise, but clowns still scare me to this day.

Oh, another that scared me, even though I wasn't a child, I was 21 to be exact, was The Slit Mouth Woman from the movie Carved. It was especially terrifying being outside at night.
