I think that AI kpop groups like PLAVE are so strange and I know I'm not the only one who thinks this.
Not being mean like but imagine you telling someone that you like kpop;they ask you to show them your bias and you pick this AI generated korean man like wth, your making us be viewed as weird okay like it's strange like go watch anime or smth!

not to be a nerd emoji but i think it's very important to understand that groups like plave are NOT ai generated, people kinda throw the term ai around way too much for anything digital/virtual. there was no use of generative ai behind anything like plave or mave: they are real singers, and they have human producers and human designers of the characters. they just use digital avatars. i understand that your point still stands i think but that's just to clear any misconception


my hot take is probably that skz is one of the most overrated kpop groups i've ever seen... their music is extremely samey, noisy and dated, and i find their songs forgettable. i be playing like kpop song guessing games and whenever it's skz i struggle to remember which song is which bc they're all this same edm slop i can somewhat see the appeal but it's very small. on a side note my mom is a big fan of theirs

No group is overrated. The song is just isn't for you. I freaking LOVE noise music and EDM shit, so thats why I love their music and remember them. Doesn't mean a group is overrated just because they don't meet your style. And the members have really good personalities.

it's not about my style at all it's just objectively not good music lol. i'm pretty technical towards music rather than being about creative freedom so i guess that's probably why we disagree. there are some "bad" songs i enjoy too for my own reasons and preferences but it doesn't suddenly make the song well-made lol. that's the difference between quality and taste, they're separate. either way it's a hot take thread so let me have my opinion

The production is well made, it is genuinely not your type of music, don't mix that up. Look, I don't like ENHYPEN's fever, but it is a welll produced song and its not my place to say its 'bad' music, whilst it took time. If we talking about an actually bad produced music, think about Beomhan's song.

Music is about creativeness, expressing yourself. Experimental music genre exists. There is no such thing as bad song, unless it has obscene lyrics or geniunely the production of the sound. Its just hypocritical and close-minded.

There's a difference between what sounds good to you and what’s actually good in terms of quality. But hey, it's a hot take thread, so feel free to have your opinion, just like I will with mine, but if I find something obscene I will take a stance.

I don't understand the way fans act in general towards idols when it comes to certain things. Like the treating them badly if they haven't even did anything wrong is annoying, and always talking about their weight wither they're fat or skinny as if they could be the way you are as well. Finding anything and everything to get mad at just makes no sense.

Another thing is I don't always dislike idols depending on how bad the situation is so tbh I still like Lucas and Kim Woojin bc I don't think they even did anything that bad to what people makes it out to be

I have to agree, I understand why they do it so people don't see what they actually look like but I don't really like them and it is kind of weird.
