Within days of each other, two different Korean celebrities have sadly passed away.
On January 23rd actress Song Yu Jung passed away at the young age of 26. Her agency has not disclosed her cause of death as of late.
She was known for the dramas: Golden Rainbow”, “Make Your Wish”, “School 2017", and “Dear My Name”.
And the music videos: iKON‘s “Goodbye Road”, Standing Egg’s “Friend to Lover”, and NIve’s “How Do I".
Her agency released the following statement:
Actress Song Yu Jung departed this life on January 23, 2021.
In accordance with the wishes of her family, the funeral was held quietly, and the funeral procession takes place on January 25.
Song Yu Jung was a friend of ours who always gave us joy with her bright smile, and she was a wonderful actress who acted with heated passion.
Please pray for the repose of her soul so that she may rest in peace in a warm place.
On January 25th rapper Iron passed away at the age of 29.
He was found bleeding and unconscious on an apartment complex’s flower bed in Jung District, Seoul.
He was brought to the hospital but sadly did not make it.
Iron was known for placing as runner-up on "Show Me the Money 3" in 2014.
Since then he has been facing some trouble with the law. Recently he was booked on suspicion of assaulting a minor. Before that he was given a suspended sentence for dating violence in 2018.
The police have released this statement:
“We were called in by an [apartment] guard who told us they discovered Iron. He was urgently taken to the hospital, but he passed away.” They added, “At this point, it is unclear whether or not Iron died by *******. We are investigating the exact cause of his death.”
I'm praying for both of their families and friends. I hope they are truly resting in peace.
